Yamaha S215V Club V Dual PA Speaker

The Yamaha S215V, like all Yamaha Club speakers, are incredibly popular with everyone from gigging bands, mobile DJs and houses of worship.
The refinements of generation V continue this success story: larger enclosures for improved low-frequency performance, improved drivers for higher power handling, redesigned crossovers, stronger grilles, and dual Speakon and 1/4-inch connectors. Once again, with professional features, excellent sonic performance and great value, Club Series loudspeakers deliver premium quality night after night.

Yamaha S215V Features

  • Dual 15 inch cast frame woofers
  • 2000-watt peak power handling
  • Tightly braced cabinet
  • Excellent high-output performer
Continuing to build on successful sound reinforcement products targeted to gigging musicians, mobile DJs, houses of worship and small-to-medium sized venues, Yamaha presents the Club V loudspeaker systems.

New cabinet tunings yield improved low frequency performance, and newly developed transducers allow higher power capacities for use with larger amplifiers. An improved, constant-directivity horn was also developed to further enhance high frequency dispersion and response. Durable steel input panels contain both dual 1/4-inch and dual Neutrik Speakon connectors.

The new Club V loudspeakers continue to offer performance and selection normally only available at substantially higher prices. These rugged, carpet covered cabinets feature heavy gauge, arced steel grilles and steel corner protectors.

The hallmarks of the Yamaha Club speakers are great sound, rugged cabinetry, and value - in other words, more bang for the buck.

Subject:These speakers are rockin'!!!
Quality: The Yamaha Club V series of speakers are all very well made. The very first time I ever loaded my subs in a trailer, I was pulling one of them up the trailer ramp on a dolly. I wasn't looking at the speaker and let it roll off the dolly. It went tumbling three of four turns down the ramp and out onto the ground. Other than knocking a little bit of the finish off of the metal corner protector, they were no worse for wear and still played great! They are pretty much indestructable for the most part. Workmanship is also very obvious (obviously well made).
Features: These speakers move a lot of air. They are full range speakers and can fill an auditorium with sound with no problem. I have played concerts in a 600 seat auditorium, a large outdoor pavilion, and a 250 seat room. Yet I keep them stored in my bedroom and even use them there on occasion. They are the most versatile and awesome speakers on the planet. I wouldn't have anything else beside Yamaha Club speakers. My system currently consists of a pair of these bad boys matched with a pair of S118V subs and a pair of SM15V floor monitors. I just doesn't get any better than that.
Ease of Use: These are super easy to set up. The only drawback is their physical size and weight. They are big speakers (just under 4 feet tall). When two are stacked on top of each other, they just about reach the 8' ceiling in my house. They do however, move very, very easily with a dolly. I would recommend having a dolly on hand for sure. I've moved them in a van, in an enclosed trailer, and the back of my truck. They transport well standing up as long as you have them against something solid and strapped down tight. I wouldn't transport them upright without having them strapped. Otherwise lay them down on their side and they transport well that way also. they are heavy (well over 100 lb I believe - but easily moved by two persons, or one person with a dolly).
Sound: Their tone is full bodied and rich. They sound great for all genres of music. They can both rock the house as well as play beautifully mellow and rich music. You can't go wrong with these.
Value: These speakers are a great value. They sound as good as the really high end high dollar speakers at 1/2 the cost. They aren't exactly cheap either though, but all in all you get what you pay for to a point, and these are among the cream of the crop at a great price point.
Do you own this product?: I have owned these for about a year and a half now.
