ZT Amplifiers

The Club 12 is ZT Amplifiers' premium, stage-ready musical instrument amplifier. It offers a no-compromise output level and frequency range while remaining true to the ZT design spirit of compact and lightweight gear for the real world.

Like all ZT products, the Club is simple and intuitive enough to allow anyone to plug and play without much effort.

ZT Amplifiers Club 12 Guitar Combo Amplifier Features

The Club is the amp that shows what ZT can accomplish without limits. With the Lunchbox, ZT proved that a tiny amp can hold its own on stage. Now we introduce a compact, lightweight 12 inch combo that can hold its own with anything.

Sharing the same proprietary electronics design of the Lunchbox amp, the Club is capable of delivering 200 watts with output over 130dB at only 22 pounds and just a few inches bigger than the custom 12 inch driver inside.

ZT Amplifiers Club 12 Guitar Combo Amplifier System Design
  • 200w Class A/B Power Amplifier
  • Ultra-low latency circuit for player responsiveness
  • Pure analog front-end, with diode overdrive capability
  • Proprietary dynamic tone shaping
  • Vintage modeled tone stack
  • Class A/B output stage with unregulated linear supply
  • Sealed-box speaker tuning
The Club 12 expands on the Lunchbox platform by featuring separate bass and treble controls, an effects loop, and a traditional reverb. The rock-solid enclosed cabinet reinforces the Club's serious, kick-you-in-the-chest low end. Highs and mids are detailed, with rich harmonics and an immediate attack that lets the player really connect with the amp.

The Club is ZT with the gloves off. There is simply no stage it won't fill.

Quality
Would you consider this product to be made well? How dependable?
I think this is made well. The lunchbox amp got rave reviews, and I almost went with that, but felt like having the 12" would better serve my needs. The reviews of the quality of the lunchbox helped me make my choice. And being able to readily get hold of the company if something does happen is a good feeling.
Reliability
How has it stood up over time?
I've only had mine a short time. Having said that, I have a lot of faith in the customer support for the Club 12. When I received it, two little plastic pieces on the grill cover had broken off. I called ZT Technologies straight away and they were super nice and understanding. Without any hassle, they shipped me a new cover.
General
Your general opinion of this product.
This amp offers great piece of mind. I love my tube amp for the stage, but it's so nice having this as a backup amp incase something happens to my main amp. It's also great when using it to monitor keyboards. For smaller venue gigs, it sounds great and I plan on leaving my bulky Twin at home. At 22lbs, it's a no brainer.
Playability and Feel
How does it feel, Heavy, Fast, Chunky? How was the neck? Are the controls easy to get to while playing?
This thing is really light compared to most amps. It's so easy to just throw in the car when heading out to gigs. The knobs are firm, but not overly so. The reverb is ok. At least it's there. But turning it up to almost 90%, I get reverb that is suitable. I'm a huge fan of fender reverb, so not much is going to measure up to the old spring reverb in tube amps.
Tone
Bright and snappy? Dark and smooth? Were the pickups hot, mellow, thick, thin?
I enjoy the tube-like quality this amp exhibits. It works great with my old Boss pedal and my ProCo Rat. The headphone jack is a nice bonus, along with the AUX Input jack. And I think this thing would be a total pro setup with the extended cabinet that ZT offers.
Finish
How did the stain or paint job look?
I happen to like the silver. It almost has a sparkle/glitter look to hit...very subtle and clean looking.
Action
How was the action out of the box?
The thing is ready to go, right out of the box.
