The Jackson Signature Series Phil Collen PC1 guitar is the result of nearly 20 years of collaboration between Collen and Jackson.
Features include a mahogany body with quilt maple top, bolt-on quartersawn eastern hard rock maple neck with compound radius maple fingerboard and Fender Stratocaster headstock, DiMarzio pickups with Jackson Sustainer/Driver in H/S/S configuration, Floyd Rose Original tremolo and gold hardware.

Jackson Guitars
A Jackson guitar is meant to be played, and played hard. Each of their endorsers and players choose Jackson because they know Jackson builds their instruments just how they want them. Jackson's instruments are built to handle hard lives on the road, and are ready to take whatever players will throw at them - that's the just the way it is, and Jackson won't have it any other way.

Subject:great guitar, buuuuuuuuuuut
Quality: Great quality and well made (only the pick-up problem)
Sound: Insanely awesome
Reliability: NO opinion yet, but every other jackson has held up to harsh playing, daily use and long practices and even longer gigs without failing.
Overall: Very beautiful. When it arrived the frets from about 18-24 were unusable due to the sustainer p/u being up to high. A local music store screwed up the p/u by cutting the bottom plate off of it (he had no clue what he was doing). Once that was fixed, all is great with the world. Why would they ship it that way??? Own and have owned several other Jacksons (mostly SL-1s, Sl-2 and custom shops and never had anything like that from them).
Playability and Feel: feels different from an SL-2, but has a great feel. Never thought I would like bolt-on again after going neck-thru, but wow. Easy access up to the 24th fret...
Tone: typical dimarzio sound. It will sustain forever with the pick up and feedback on command is great. The bridge humbucker (would love to trade it for a seymour/duncan (like the one in my SL-2, but hey sounds good.
Finish: OMG it was incredible....over-the-top beautiful
Action: see the above note.
Skill Level: Semi-Pro
