A mild, mellow distortion. Excellent when you pick up near the neck.

Switch to your bridge pickup and let it rip. The TONE level can strengthen highs for even more distortion power.

This before/after demo shows the difference when you cut the middle frequency bands around 800Hz and boost at 1.6kHz.

This before/after demo boosts the middle bands slightly with the GE7 connected after distortion and overdrive. The LEVEL control is boosted just a bit.

Listen how aggressive the distortion gets when you cut the mids around 800Hz and boost the lower & higher bands with the GE7 placed after distortion or overdrive in your effect chain.

Here the high and lows are boosted with the onboard EQ. Great for metal solos and riffs.

To get this unique, extremely distorted sound, the MT2's HIGHs and LOWs are boosted, MIDs are cut and DIST is set fairly high. This is a no-holds-barred, aggressive sound that's ideal for thrash.

This is a great '70s power rock sound with fat, powerful MIDs - great for arena rock riffs. Work the FREQ control to tailor the MIDs response.

This demo shows the SD1 with the DRIVE control at a lower level and TONE set a only about a third. Good for a bluesy sound.

DRIVE turned all the way up and highs boosted with the TONE control.

With DRIVE set low and LEVEL turned all the way up, the SD1 functions as a gain booster, augmenting amp distortion and providing deeper, thicker sounds.
