What can be said about a drum throne that ROCKS?!?
This throne replaced a 25-year-old Roc-N-Soc throne (another great product for drummers), and I am SO happy with it!
THe four-post base provides a more stable support for my double-bass playing, and that is a very good thing!
This seat is HEAVY. The base and seat both are made very well, and the split-seat design really does help my lower back feel better than it has in a long time.
YES! I have already recommended it to several other drummers and keyboard players I know. Get it!

Ever since I got this throne I’ve been sooooo comfortable!!!
It’s truly well thought out with an Air flow Chanel down the middle and an extra wide tractor/ motorcycle type seat. It’s heavy but it’s worth it carrying the extra weight to get all that comfort.
Maybe Ahead could develop an aluminum version that would be light weight as well as comfortable.

I suffer from chronic back pain from a military injury and this throne takes the pressure off my back and allows me to sit comfortably for long periods of time. I'm also a bigger guy and I'm incredibly impressed with how solid it is.

This throne came highly recommended, and I am so happy with my purchase. It exceeded expectations in both comfort and stability. I was using a standard throne with three legs, and moved to this Ahead throne with four legs. Let me tell ya - it's not movin' anywhere! I love the sparkle detail, but really - aside from all that - I already notice a positive difference in relief from sciatic nerve pain. It's like swiveling around on a cloud. If you need someone real to tell you to take the plunge, here's my unpaid endorsement: Buy this throne.

I don't usually review products but I had to say that this is the most comfortable drum throne i have ever used. Been playing nearly 25 years and for the last 10 I've used an old basic Tama throne. Finally tossed it out and I'm very happy I went with this one. Nearly 4 hours behind the kit and felt like a few minutes, I wish I would have bought this one years ago. Buy it, you will not regret it! I have degenerative discs in my lower back and this throne does not give me any problems.

Suffered from lower back and neck pain. The bands I play with have long rehearsals (3-4 hrs behind the kit) and 3-4 set gigs. I would always have back pain afterwards but this throne has alleviated most of it. Not sure of the science behind it but I’m a believer

I’ve had a lot of drum thrones and always had the same problem that lower back pain and uncomfortableness. I’ve had the spinal glide for over a month now and use it daily my posture and stamina have definitely improved kind of strange how a simple throne can really make a difference in your playing. The only thing I wish they came up with was the gas shock feature like on other thrones like the rock and soc . I do like that feature on the other thrones the ability to move up and down whenever you feel the need to. However once seated on the spinal glide you will definitely notice a big change. Saddle is extremely comfortable soft and fits your thumb really nicely. The space between your cheeks is nice when you can run your inner cable through up and around that causes less tangling and other irritations that I’ve had to deal with in the past. I will most likely get another one of these thrones for my other set up

I’m getting up there in age and have back issues. I purchased this throne after researching all top level thrones.
I have used a bicycle style throne from a well known manufacturer for the last ten years. The difference is remarkable.
Freedom from lower back pain, and comfortable for 1 hour plus set lists.
Great deal with AMS 5 payment plans made this very affordable too!

I bought this for our 2 drummers in church so I'm just passing alone part of the raving they've been doing about this chair. They say it is the most comfortable throne they've ever sat on. They can play a 1 hr service set or a 2 hr rehearsal with no problem or fatigue. Their hips or hamstring don't hurt anymore. All and all a great buy and worth the money.

I’ve had the big G for a while. I’m older and yes there are back issues. Found the Spinal G, intrigued, but hard to find reviews. No one I knew had one. Took a chance and ordered. Soon as I set on it, WOW. This thing is super comfortable. Your back, tops of your legs, butt. Very stable. Four legs have not posed any fit issues with snare stand, double bass, remote high hat. It’s just four not three. Kept my big G just to be sure, but now it’s online for sale. Not going back.

I love this throne. It is strong and stable, spins to adjust but can be locked in place at any height you choose. The seat can be tightened to the post or left loose to swivel if needed to reach specialty percussion beside or behind your set. The contoured tractor seat is comfortable for people who don't have a lot of butt padding. I weigh 230 and am 6'3" and it is stable and solid all day long!!

I've used many drum thrones and this by far, way far is the best. Well made, great feel and less fatigue in my legs and lower back. You deserve this for yourself as I did. No regrets only praise. I also bought the case for it to keep it around for a long time. Well worth it.

Overall comfort is awesome! Material seems to be holding up to the constant travel. 2 issues... the wing bolt that you close the legs with broke within 2 months. I was able to fix it, but is leaving me concerned. And the chrome locking section, the long “stationary” nut continues to back out and therefore doesn’t do much for locking it in place

The Ahead Spinal G throne was back ordered at the time I placed my order. I don't know if that was because demand was so high or because of a problem on the production end but the wait was worth it. The day after I got the throneI used it for a long afternoon gig during which we only got one break. I did notice that it was comfortable but the BIG difference was after the gig-no lower back stiffness, no hip pain or stiffness. I was definitely worth the price and the several week wait.
