The product, i feel for a Weighted Controller is made alot better than MAudio and or Midi Controllers on the market. It looks and feels very dependable! I like how you can set up your presets and map out how you want to use it with your DAW (The CD helps with editing the parameters better than doing it manually. I love the usb-powered feature! One less thing I have to worry about at set up time when gigging. This product is pretty simple to use...I think it is the best in Midi Controllers (weighted with aftertouch) Product is very easy to use! Nice! No internal sounds, but the feel of the keys 9minus the noise everyoine complains about on the web is great!) Your general opinion of this product. I really like. This is step 1 of a 3 step set-up I am configuring. I am a motif guy and i was looking at the Yamaha Motif xf 8...After alot of research, I figured to give this a try. And I like. I went this route because my Step 2 will be to get the XF 6 or 7 and carry this if I need the weighted action. Currently I carry the Motif 8 on gigs, which that will not occur anymore as this is alot lighter than the full board Motif...Also I went this route because my motif would barely ft on my Ultimate Apex Stand...This set will allow me to put all my gear on one stand...The Controller on bottom, Motif in Middle, and my laptop, presonus fire wire, and triton rack on top...So much compact looking than 2 stands and a small table or seat.... Love the Action, not greater than Yamaha Motif but it is good Worth the Money if you are using it daily for studio work. It is also great for not having to carry the bigger boards like the Motif Triton and Kronos or Fantom G....

Its built very solid. Its heavy and and made very well. The pads need a little tweaking cuz they're not very responsive out of the box. I bought some pad upgrades on ebay and my pads are fantastic now. The best features are the 88 weighted keys. Real keyboard players don't want flimsy feeling 49 and 61 key boards. If i could ad anything, the number one thing would be built in mapping for Logic. Other than quieting the keys I'm pretty satisfied with this board. Its kind of easy to use, especially in Ableton or Reason. It has presets for most DAWS. But for some reason it has no preset for Logic, which is what I use. It can be synced to Logic but there is a slight learning curve. Its a MIDI controller, It makes no sound on its own. The action is the best for any 88-key MIDI controller. Its not like a $20,000 grand piano but it works fine. Its my main board in my home studio. My only gripe is that the keys are kinda loud when you press them. When you play with low volume the noise of the keys will bother you. I got mine a few months ago when they were selling for $499. I would consider that a great value now that they seem to be selling everywhere for $799.
