General Your general opinion of this product. This kit works very well in an apartment. It is definitely a best bang for the buck item. Quality Would you consider this product to be made well? How dependable? I have only had this kit for a short time, but it seems very well made. Features What do you consider to be the best features of this product? What features would you add to this product if you could? I like the current features very much overall. It would be nice to have the snare positioned on a boom bar so that it can be better placed. It would be nice to have level controls for the individual triggers. Sound How is the tone? Overall I am pleased with the tone. It is very good when you consider the very affordable price. Appearance Appearance It looks good. More than anything is the fact that this kit is able to fit in a small space. Value Was this item an overall good value? Best bang for the buck!!!

General Your general opinion of this product. As one can expect this is a basic entry level electric drums set. I would like to use the term 'what you pay for is what you get', but that doesnt apply here. Quality Would you consider this product to be made well? How dependable? Right off the bat you will notice that this kit is very flimsy. After many adjustments to get the kit where I wanted I still have to adjust the rear to legs (held by clamps) because after 30 minutes, or so of practice the legs sink, or collapse a bit, making the whole kit lean back away from me. I have tightened the kit as much as possible and it doesnt help. Also, the cymbals come loose, no matter how much you tighten them. The high-hat pedal will play open when it should be closed. This is not too bad for a beginner, but it can be annoying. You have to keep your foot all the way on top of the pedal in order to minimize the open high-hat from sounding. The kick, or bass pedal is loud as well and will be heard over top of your drumming unless youre playing along with music. Nothing at all to brag about. Features What do you consider to be the best features of this product? What features would you add to this product if you could? Switching between the coaching lessons and changing kits for example can be a headache. Getting around it quite easy once you get use to it. One thing that I liked and didnt expect was that the pads have sensitivity and you can play light, or hard and the sound will react. This also works well with my computer using Addictive Drums, although you have to use the Roland TD-9 preset from the "beats" menu, in order for the drum set to play properly. This set didnt work well with EZDrummer, no shock there. The lighted pads are ok, I dont really notice them, but they do come in handy for seeing notes that you cant hear. Sound How is the tone? The built-in sounds are not that good at all and the variation in kits isnt good. Very basic sounding stuff. What I expected from a learning type kit. Id recommend hooking this kit up to your computer and using Addictive Drums, to get a better sound, if youre playing along with music. For practice, the built in sound work well enough. As already mentioned, the pads are loud and the pedals are loud which can actually drown out your sound, not bad if youre actually playing along with music, but trying to hear yourself practice can be a pain. I like being able to hook up my headphones and PC speakers with no special jacks, or audio cords needed. Appearance Appearance Theres not much to look at, other than basic metal and plastic pipes that are connected to small pads that light up. It is what it is and nothing fancy. It isnt a centerpiece to any room though. Value Was this item an overall good value? My thoughts on this kit is that after a few months of getting the basics down you will want to move on to something better than this kit, so go ahead and save your money and get a better kit now that will do you a while. This kit will actually hold your drumming back due to the awkwardness of it, non-stable legs and general poor quality of the pads and lack of versatility in moving the cymbals and pads around to get a more comfortable feel. You will notice these things will be holding your playing back and want to invest in a better kit in the near future, but it is after all a great kit for just learning. I would compare the quality of this set to a Rock Band drum set, gets the job done, but doesnt feel one hundred percent like playing the drums and leaves you with that feeling of wanting to move on to something that feels more like the real thing.
Fun and affordable for beginners!!!

General Your general opinion of this product. Ok so I'm not a musician. I don't know anything about drums & I haven't shopped around much to be able to compare drum sets. I have two young kids I thought would enjoy drumming. The local music studio suggested I start with a practice pad. Boring! The kids and I wanted more. Then I saw this drum set for only $299. I knew the kids would like the lights. I liked that it is compact, uses headphones, and has a built in tutor. I just got it today so I can't say much for long term dependability, but It seems to be well made. Set-up was super easy. Within half an hour of receiving the box from USPS we were playing. The kids loved it. I bought it primarily for my 4 year old son, but I think my 5 yr.old daughter likes it even more. I've never had a desire to drum before, but even I'm enjoying it. Lots of fun. From what I've seen so far I can recommend this set for a beginner. I'm guessing someone more experienced would want more, unless they would want this one for it's size and portability. Quality Would you consider this product to be made well? How dependable? Seems well made. Just received it today so time will tell if it is dependable. It it lasts the next 2 years with my kids I will be thrilled!!! If they like drumming we are going to step up to something a bit fancier in the future. Features What do you consider to be the best features of this product? What features would you add to this product if you could? I like that it is compact and light weight. I love that it uses headphones so the kids can go crazy without bothering me or the neighbors. I really like that it has a built in tutor to help develop basic drumming skills. I just got this today so I haven't learned all the features, but I think I would like it if I could slow down the music in the teaching mode so I could follow along more easily. I like that the pads light up for me to follow. Also, it might be nice if it could score my performance so I could see my (or the kids) improvement over time. Also, a bag to carry this might be nice since it is designed to be small and portable. Sound How is the tone? With no experience in drums my opinion might not be worth much, but I think it sounds great! I'm very happy with it. I think there are 1 different tracks with different sounds. I love it! Appearance Appearance Looks good. When folded up it takes up relatively little space and can e stashed away. When set up it looks like a small electric drum set. Pretty basic. Value Was this item an overall good value? I think so. Maybe if I shopped around I would have found a better deal on a different brand. I don't know. I did check a few different sites for this set and it was always the same price. It was what I wanted. The shipping was reasonable (free for most of you, but not us Alaskans). And I was able to break the total cost down into 3 payments. For me this was perfect and I still feel it's a good value.
