I found the alesis forge to be a nice set up The cymbals sound good and it's nice to have so many drum kits in one instrument. If you want a drum kit that allows you to practice through the headphones and record without a ton of mics this a great set for a great price.

I wanted something to start with but didn't want minimum or too expensive. The set is rugged and I can add 2 more components or get switch out standard for mesh it duo sensor later on.

Doesn't pick up my double pedal all the time and hi-hat pedal can be laggy other than that I like it and it works. Perfect for practice in my apartment and recording your tracks.

I did a lot of research and determined that for the price and features this was the kit for me. I was not disappointed at all. I have tons of gear in my home studio and play a little of everything mostly guitar and bass. This fit in perfectly after putting my acoustic kit away. No more mics and mic stands eating up space and ez drummer is a perfect ad on when I want a bit more of realistic sound. That being said I'm am very pleased with the internal sounds. I already built an additional cymbal that I'm using as a China works great if you build it properly. It's cheaper than you think. I can play pretty much anytime now and not bother anyone. The pads feel perfectly fine to me and are very sensitive but to each their own. On a side note double kick will work fine if you unplug the designated kick plug and run out of the additional tom output in the back of the module into the kick pedal instead. Then all you have to do is change the default sound to the kick you like and save the kit.

I got this set for my son as a present. I ordered it on the Thursday before Christmas Sunday, and did not expect it to get delivered in time, but somehow, AMS got it shipped out fast, and it was delivered Saturday morning. Totally amazed with the quality of service with AMS. As for the drum set, It looks and sounds fantastic! I can't believe you can get this much for so little price. Looks good, and sounds amazing.
