I use the 2 alien hands to mic the two top speakers of my 4x12 cab. Using the alien hand frees up a lot of floor space in my home studio since I don't have to use large bulky traditional mic stands.

Very easy to set up, fits nicely between my amp head and cabinet.

no stand in front of your amp does make it nicer and less cluttered

very easy to use but....
Sound
How is its Tone?
well it has no sound but it effects your sound. The bad part is that is does not work too well with a 212 combo amp. It just does not line up with one or the other speaker is just kinda in the middle or if you turn toward the speaker, you just get the edge of the speaker. I like my mic directly in the center as to get the strongest signal. If it was made to swivel back and forth or swing like a pendelum it might be ok.
