General Your general opinion of this product. It's an awesome product considering the low price. Great sounding guitar! The entire Artist series is a winner. Quality Would you consider this product to be made well? How dependable? Alvarez seems to have chosen quality parts for the Artist series overall. FIrst guitar I've owned that uses Cedar as a top sound board. The finish is beautiful and the use of abalone around the sound hole is a nice touch. The B-Band system takes some dialing in but the electronics are solid. Playability and Feel How does it feel, Heavy, Fast, Chunky? How was the neck? Are the controls easy to get to while playing? The feel is quick and the neck is narrow, great for someone with smaller hands. There is hardly any weight to it, but thats seem true for the entire line. Not a bad thing really as it doesn't take anything away from the sound. Tone Bright and snappy? Dark and smooth? Were the pickups hot, mellow, thick, thin? It's got a very wide spectrum of sound. Great lows and highs with a very bright sound unplugged. When you plug it in you really need to take the time to find the pickup sweet spot. Once you've got it, it awesome. Action How was the action out of the box? Action was high out of the box with a noticeable bow in the neck. I adjusted the truss in a couple of minutes and was ready to go. Finish How did the stain or paint job look? The darkness of the cedar top with the abalone inlay is a great contrast. The rosewood back and sides are always beautiful. Reliability How has it stood up over time? I just got it, so too soon to tell, but the other Alvarez guitars I've bought recently (4 within a year) have been amazing so I'm betting this will work out as well
