Product Rating Product Review After much research I opted to purchase this guitar, and I'm glad I did. It's a beautiful work of art and has a tone that sounds good to me. You can often tell the quality of the workmanship by inspecting inside the cavity. There were no glue drips or smears and all of the kerfing was in alignment. Great packing by AMS, an easy payment plan, and a great guitar all equal to a great experience.

Product Review Beautiful classical guitar with excellent craftsmanship. I have enjoyed it since 2015. However the exception in this car is the end of fret wires were not filed they are very rough and this detracts from the overall impression. Maybe someday I will file them, but in the meantime I still enjoy playing.

Product Review This is a very easy guitar to play. Action is perfect, great sound/tone as well. I have other classical guitars, but this one is the best one for the price. Very happy with it!

Product Review It's been roughly a month since I purchased the Alvarez CYM75, and so far, it's really impressed me. Discussing craftmanship first, it's truly excellent, though not perfect. It's clear that the instrument was made with very good care and great attention to detail, as CYM75 I received had no structural or visual flaws that I could identify, with the exception of a few rough edges on the bottom side of frets 15-19. Additionally, the instrument came perfectly setup, with very low action, the fretboard was really well-treated and it had great intonation--I haven't had to make any adjustments at all. Visually, it's a striking instrument, and the pictures online really don't do it much justice. The Cedar top is tight-grained, and has a lovely almost-hazelnut-like color; definitely on the lighter side for Cedar. The Indian Rosewood back and sides used here also look amazing, with a mesmerizing depth and striping to it. I'm not 100% sure what type of finish is being used on this guitar. It doesn't feel or look like polyurethane, but it's not a French Polish, either. Regardless, the finish here has a nice, glassy look to it that allows the natural beauty of the wood and its grain to pop! Playability is fantastic on the CYM75 I received. As mentioned previously, the action out-of-the-box was very low and easy to play, and the slim "C" shaped profile of the neck made it easy to navigate the fretboard. Lastly--and probably most importantly--there's the CYM75's sound. As is usually the case with a cedar top, the sound on the CYM75 is on the warmer side, with round basses and sweet, velvety trebles. One thing that stood out to me, was that this instrument was tonally very rich, with great resonance, and sustain. It also had very good projection; not the loudest I've heard, but it's got plenty of volume. Overall, a great instrument, specially for the price range at which it's available. It looks gorgeous, it's got a delightful sound, and it's easy to play. To any serious classical guitar student, or a beginner concert player, this is a very solid choice. Oh, and it includes a very nice Ivory-colored hard-shell case!

Product Review The workmanship feels more handmade than my Yamaha GC32s. The two instruments are different enough, the Yairi has a thin top and brace gluing that results in some telegraphing, but that is normal and telling that the instrument is perhaps not as overbuilt as the yamaha. The tuning machines are more like antique gold. The bass notes growl and the treble notes sizzle without any detected "banjo clucking" you sometimes hear with (spanish made) cedar tops. Confirmed by listening to a recording of it. I got the blemished model, polished with anti-scratch #1 and cleaned fretboard I can't find a mark on it, it's just been played a lot. Used damp microfiber towel on fretboard. Nice gloss finish. The $300 off makes it the same as gc32s in price, is the normal price for the yairi worth it compared to gc32 spruce or cedar? Time will tell, but I think I'd buy it at regular price, I obsessed about this particular guitar for months before discovering the blemished model and then got it immediately. Feels loud for a cedar top, it is a complete enough tone that you wouldn't need a spruce top also. Yep, definitely has personality. Feels lighter than the gc32, and perhaps more comfortable, the edges are rounded more, not as sharp, comfortable. I put some new Savarez's on them which I do not like, Augustines are better. Next will go high tension, I would think that would be a further upgrade in tone.

Product Review This guitar is fantastic! I've always only owned US made guitars, but this Japanese made guitar is even better than some of the US made guitars that I own/owned. The construction is superb and it looks absolutely gorgeous. It plays great and has a sound to die for. I will be keeping this guitar forever! Thanks to my friend Ryan for turning me on to Yairi guitars!

Product Review My pawn shop Yari($100) was stolen years ago. I played it out on vacations, traveling and stuff.I was very upset when it was stolen. And I always missed it. One of my good instruments was a M Sakuria, Something about the Japanese quality and craftsmanship that I admire. I have a custom USA guitar and a Ramirez guitar, thought Id sell the Sakuria because of all the wear I put on it. I was my first classical(1981), I was going to buy either Spain made or Japan made. My thought was that Yari would put all he had into the sound and quality since Spain seems to get such a high recognition of their guitars . I chose Yari and what the heck, I had 45 days to try it out ! After 30 days of repetitive play I replaced the strings with a soft light tension set of strings that I am fond of , The sustain, feel, warmth ,vibration and sexiness of this Yari makes me look forward to playing every day for hours on end. There was no way in heck that I was sending this baby back.
