Quality Would you consider this product to be made well? How dependable? I would recommend this product to any and every Bass player. No matter what level you play, this amp will not let you down! Features What do you consider to be the best features of this product? What features would you add to this product if you could? The best feature of this product is the sound! This amp sound just like it larger sister the BA-115. I am impressed at this little thing! Big sound out of a small package! Sound How is the tone? It has that Solid State Ampeg sound that I love-Not big on tubes. Tone Bright and snappy? Dark and smooth? Were the pickups hot, mellow, thick, thin? It is bright and snappy for sure and the bottom end is butter..
Great for beginners, rehearsal, small gigs, and acoustic basses

Quality Would you consider this product to be made well? How dependable? Ampeg quality. Though this is an inexpensive combo, I feel the overall quality of this combo is good. Great for entry level amplification, or for use in small gigs and for amplifying acoustic bass guitars in the way I use this amp. Features What do you consider to be the best features of this product? What features would you add to this product if you could? I like that this combo tilts back. Allows for use as small monitor on stage. TRS 1/4" Line Out allows a balanced output to run to the house sound board or recording console. Simple EQ system -- always a plus. Sound How is the tone? I really like a 12" driver for acoustic bass work. For my taste, it just sounds better than 10's or 15's for acoustic bass amplification. Rich sound. The 12" woofer has a way of resonating acoustic bass in a way that 10's and 15's just can't do. I can't explain it -- you just have to hear it to see for yourself. Tone Bright and snappy? Dark and smooth? Were the pickups hot, mellow, thick, thin?

Quality Would you consider this product to be made well? How dependable? I'd give this a solid 7 out of 10. You can tell they cut a few corners to keep the price down, but the price is the reason I went with this amp. My biggest gripe is the loud speaker pop when this amp is first powered on. Features What do you consider to be the best features of this product? What features would you add to this product if you could? I would add a standard XLR out. It is more common than the TRS cable. Great EQ, I can really dial in a variety of tones. Sound How is the tone? Good. Not great, but versatile. Cuts through with a drummer and 2 guitarists. Tone Bright and snappy? Dark and smooth? Were the pickups hot, mellow, thick, thin? Plenty of everything! A bit boomy, but the rotary dial and the EQ give you plenty of sounds.

Quality Would you consider this product to be made well? How dependable? Yes: Cf. above. Dependable? I just got it & it delivers far more p/$ than any similarly priced 50W bass combo, in terms of sound-quality & breadth of applications. Given Ampeg's record (50 yrs) or dependability, I don't expect any trouble in the future. No, I expect a happy relationship w/my new little side-kick. Features What do you consider to be the best features of this product? What features would you add to this product if you could? 1. 12" speaker. 2. Midrange-tweaking extra tools. 3. Quality components that bode well for longevity. 4. Lots of bass freq (even w/a low B) for such a little guy. 5. Portability. 6. Best price among combos in this class...by far. I'd add nothing, except for an amp cover. I ordered one, so all's well. Sound How is the tone? It sounds like an Ampeg. Millions of environmental factors affect this, as is always the case. It's not an arena-amp. Play it in a small venue/practice-setting & you can look forward to deep lows, expressive mids, & crisp highs. Tone Bright and snappy? Dark and smooth? Were the pickups hot, mellow, thick, thin? Yep: You can get any tone you want. Just make sure that you're playing the bass you want w/the FX you may like, OTW, don't blame the amp.
