General What is your overall opinion of this product? I love it. This is my first big bass amp moving up from an old Line6 practice amp and I must say that Im pretty impressed. Great Tone, great adjustability, great range of volume, It can be low enough to practice in the house or loud enough to disturb the neighbors not to mention I haven't tried out the headphone hook up yet. It was in line with the competition ... as far as value that is to be determined over time. General What is your overall opinion of this product? I have Four other ampeg products from a "practice amp" to the "rock concert rig" . The bigest issue I have is that the clips that hold the top/amp on vibrate making way too much noise to ever use for recording with any mic. Of course it does have a DI like most Ampeg products but this vibration is very distracting. I knew I was buying a cheaper version of the Portaflex but I don't remember having that issue with the older ones. Quality What is your opinion of the quality of this product? How does it work for different genres of music? If you did not know any better this is a fantastic rig espcailly if you are just a weekend Musician. It has all you would need to be able to do the gig. However if you really need a LOUD AMP this is not the one for you . Even with the 500 Watt head you are only getting about 200 actual watts into the 8 ohm cab. Now if you want to spend more cash on the extension cab...don't.. Go ahead and get the SVT 4 with the 8/10 cab. you'll be money ahead. This rig will not do for any hard rocking band. Features Are the features on the product what you were expecting? What are your favorite features? As with all Ampeg products you get the best sound for the buck. Just depends on how many bucks you want to spend. I like the compression built in to the head,very handy. As for the rest, it is as expected .. Sound How is the sound quality? How does the sound compare to other products you've use? For an all electronic head it is clean and solid. Not as flexable as a tube amp but it is a third of the price. Still prefer my SVT over it but that rig comes in at a little over 200 lbs and this just a grunt over 70..

Quality Would you consider this product to be made well? How dependable? I love the amp you can screw the head on to the bottom for easy travel, when you go on gigs. It has great sound and it has a very easy eq system. It looks great and sounds great! Features What do you consider to be the best features of this product? What features would you add to this product if you could? You can screw on the head on the bottom, and turn it 180 degrees to take it out or put it away. Sound How is the tone? Tone is great it has many features that lets you create your own style and sound. General Your general opinion of this product. It's a good amp it sounds great, looks great feels good and smooth. Its great because it gives me the ability to clip the sound when its to loud. It warns me about it.

Love the flip top. Everybody that sees me set it up loves the flip top design and all of my gear is right inside Love it. Sound How is the tone? Sound is great. Still working on fine tuning my sound but right out of the box it sounded amazing. General Your general opinion of this product. I love this amp the flip top design, the ease of use, and everything I need is right under the hood :-) I would like to have side mounted handles though cause 60 Lbs. of awesome isn't easy to carry, but that isn't enough to make me not love this amp.
