Product Rating Product Review I use my GK head with this cabinet and it roars! Clear, sustained lows and punchy highs. Super well constructed as only Ampeg can. I strongly recommend this cabinet to make any head sound great!

Product Review Well. It's short, heavy and loud, and powerful and has very deep bass too boot. It's 4 ohms 500 watts 1000 peak. It's heavy duty for sure. If you need anything louder than this for any size gig, you need a p. A. System then. Because it's going to carry you through any size gig in any bar our back door music party. Ummm. I've been through 12 different cabs for a low tuning on 5 string bass. All my cabs where farting out. Learned as I went about frequency response and usable...... Anyway, this is the beast mode of a cab for drop tuning on any bass out there, 4 or 5. All for under a grand. Unbelievable power and performance by ampeg. The 6 10s were tested first. The 4 10 has way more low end by far. Than the 8 10s too. By far. 28 hz usable frequency response. For real

Product Review Sounds fantastic, plenty of power handling and fairly lightweight, the built in dolly is definitely a nice touch too!

Product Review I am a devoted Ampeg user but the 810 was getting to be a bit much to haul around. Although no lite weight, I love the air this cabinet moves. I can use either of my SVT heads with this and get a great sound. I will admit the handle is about useless unless you are 5' tall. I just use my hand dolly with it and save my back. Hint Ampeg...how about a handle that extends to get it to the height most people need?

good solid 410 cabinet

This is a pretty decent constructed cabinet. Overall its going to be all you will need to play most venues. The only downside that the covering as with all Ampeg cabs can rip fairly easy. some of the metal fixtures and the rubber stoppers at the bottom look a little weaker than i would like but I havent noticed any defect. This amp is almost twice as loud as my standard 410 cabinet. It does have a nice knob on the back to adjust the tone of the horn. It has a bar handle on the back and two wheels. tilt and roll for transporting. So far its a little harder to get around then my four caster wheeled previous Ampeg. Also if you slide it down stairs on its back the torex covering can easily tear. I noticed some people attach sheet metal at that location to defeat this. The tone is super warm and realistic. Alot of low end if you need it. At 4 ohms Its nearly twice the power of the standard 8 ohm ampeg. If you area solid state person and enjoy the sound of Hartke rigs I wouldnt suggest this cabinet. The tone is perfect for an Ampeg Classic head. Your general opinion of this product. great warm realistic tones. decent structure and design. Great name in Ampeg reliability.

A very high quality finish and attentoin to detail. It shuold last forever as it is built like a tank. The handle and casters are good for moving it around and the hookups are idiot free. Switchable ohm loads would be nice. It will wake up any sounds that you should here from your bass. The clarity and low end punch are amazing. Your general opinion of this product. I could not see any bad things except the weight but to get that AMPEG sound the 8-ply birch and heavy drivers are the best.

Much better than the competition

Your general opinion of this product.

QUALITY:
Ampeg is far better than anything else In my experience.

FEATURES:
The horn control is a very nice feature. I like to turn it off at home so that there is complete silence (no hiss) when I'm not playing, but use it when playing in a band so that it cuts through better without having to turn up and overpower the mix with low end.

EASE OF USE:
The only difficult thing about using this cabinet is that it is HEAVY, but it's worth the trouble to sound so good.

VALUE:
Well worth the price because you could buy two 4x10 cabs and not sound as good as this one.

SOUND:
I'm very happy with it's ability to handle low end without distorting and the adjustable horn is nice also. It sounds great playing with a pick, fingers, or slap and pop.

Your general opinion of this product.

QUALITY:
It's higher in Price than other amps, but it's heavy and made to last a lifetime.

FEATURES:
The lower range, of the HLF, you relly don't need larger low end speakers, the horn brings out the high range, Its all one combine package of sound, love it.

EASE OF USE:
If you were dumb as a box of rocks, you could still plug up the cabinet, and adjust the horn.

VALUE:
It does cost more than other amps , but you pay for pure tone and quality, hope I never have to sell it.

SOUND:
Ampeg to me has a sould all of it's own, with that low end growl, i light up the stage everynight and probably the nest 25 years with my Ampeg.

STYLE:
I've played all Styles , Enjoy New County, And Classic Rock Blues , And my own songs

MUSIC EXPERIENCE:

Mini Monster that packs the punch of cabs twice it

By: jenkx from Los Angeles      Submitted: 2/5/2008

Your general opinion of this product.

QUALITY:
The Quality of this item is top notch. It is well built, sturdy, and looks good too. The way it’s built it should last a mighty long time.

FEATURES:
The tilt back casters make this mini monster easier to move. 4 wheels would have made it much easier since it’s so heavy. The bar on the top back portion certainly helps move it around as well. The handles are very strong. The tweeter attenuator works well and helps to stet the highs just right. Skid guards would have been nice on the lower back portion for going up and down steps when there’s no one around to help lift. I have a few marks on the lower back portion of my cab from curbs and steps. The attached wheels are perfect for rolling this puppy around but not for going up and down curbs or a couple of steps.

EASE OF USE:
Ever hear of idiot proof. That’s how easy it is to use this cab. Just plug and play. One must remember that it is a 4ohm cab though.
