This is a nice sounding fat snare drum head. It has nice rebound and is great for tuning medium low to medium high but if you are planning to tune really high this may not be the best option for you...It suits my needs well for blues and would be great for country and southern rock drummers as well.

As an owner of about 2 dozen snare drums, I will say that this head should be on every snare. It cuts unwanted ring and enhances the good overtones. Hi-Energy makes tuning any snare drum a breeze whether it’s tuned high or lower. Either way it produces a thick rich tone that once you try one, you’re gonna need one on every snare drum…. Like me.

I would recommend this for rock and metal, studio or live. It is super durable and has a consistent deep tone. Super FAT sounding. Quality money spent and has no overtones!
