A real cool guitar.
Quality:
Don't expect master craftsmanship at this price, everythig works though like it's supposed to.
Sound:
The p-90 copy pickups do a good job with the vintage sound. Balance between the bridge and neck pickups is good.
Reliability:
The tremelo system is almost useless but nothing has broken, it seems to be put togeather reasonably well.
Overall:
This is a fun guitar, simple like a telecaster with a distinctive sound. It's hard to keep in tune but otherwise a gig-ready axe.
Playability and Feel:
I like playing this guitar, it has more bark than my Telecaster and a retro look and feel.
Tone:
The pickups have a fat sound like p-90's should. A fairly good job in the sound department.
Finish:
No problems with the finish, simple but cool.
Action:
If this was set up at the factory, incorrectly but it didn't take much to dial it in.

Semi-Pro

Bang-For-Bucks CHAMP!!
Quality:
Very decent build quality, a best buy.
Sound:
I realize that quality control varies wildly with this type of piece, but the pickups on mine are SMOKIN'!
Reliability:
Don't know, only had it a couple of weeks. These things are usually ok if not broken in the box.
Overall:
A mass-produced item. Needs work to make playable.
Playability and Feel:
Like a Mosrite. Close to a strat but different. Some fellas might hit the pup selector whise strumming, but I dont.
Tone:
Not only do the P90s on my guitar do the nice P90 thing (I call them schizo pickups), that is, they have a very nice polite voice when run almost full and stroking the strings. Sit on the volume and smack it a little and they snarl and honk like a mad bull. Very nice difference between front and back pups as well.
Finish:
Very nice. I got the Candy Apple Red
Action:
Pretty high, but that's probably a good thing. Most guys restring and tweak intonation anyway. Fret edges needed a file job, too.

Semi-Pro

Quality:
For the price the quality of this guitar makes it a great value.
Sound:
This is my first time with P-90 pickups and all I can say is "Wow". They sound just like a surf guitar should. Bright and full of twang.
Reliability:
Not sure yet, so far so good.
Overall:
Overall a very nice looking guitar. The finish (sunburst) is perfect. The edges of the frets are a little sharp, but and easy fix.
Playability and Feel:
The neck is a classic "C" shape. Not too thick and not to thin. Very comfortable.
Tone:
The pickups are the heart and soul of this guitar. Bright and well balanced.
Finish:
The sunburst finish was flawless. The neck is maple and has a stain finish.
Action:
The action was set just right. The only thing I needed to do was tweak the trussrod a bit.

Intermediate
