So good that I would recommend this to anyone wanting a reasonable priced preamp. I tried this using the aux input on my amp and found that it a great 3rd channel and the tune is amazing. I am going to try some FX pedals between this preamp and my Amp, I belive this will improve the tune a lot.

Would be better if it was high voltage instead of starved plate, not getting full potential out of the tube, be better if it was like a tube preamp in a amp. Reliability How has it stood up over time? Had 1 for 3-4 years, bought another a year ago, one for Mic, one for guitar. Really handy. I want to get a few more of them eventually. Built very well on the outside, don't like how the circuit boards are setup with ribbon cables very well (took it apart to change the tube in it). Stock tube was good, but i put a Sovtek tube in it, and it seemed to help a little.

Perks up budget mixer pre-amps. Be careful not to over do it if your shooting for clean boost.What goes in comes out. Good overdrive on live harp to get that greasy blues sound. Don't be afraid to clip it for those applications, it can take it just fine. Doubles as a direct box to match input to the mixer too. Warms up mics for recording.
