The mic is very well made. The body is brass. The capsule and electronics are built to a very high standard. The multi-pattern capability and neutral smooth but open sound are the best features The operation of the mic is completely intuitive The mic produces a very smooth but open and transparent sound. I would call it a neutral microphone with minimal coloration. Your general opinion of this product. Excellent studio mic at any prices.

Excellent vocal and instrument mic

Your general opinion of this product. I bought this mic on recommendations and magazine reviews five years ago in 1998 and I have not been disappointed. My brother's band had done a few demos in my studio before going to a "big studio". The vocals done in my studio with the AT4050 were preferred over the big studio's U67 vintage mic. On acoustic guitar, it also sounds great.
