I've had several pair of headphones thru the years. never bought any that were super high end, listened to a few pairs and this pair of Audio Technica sound the same, to me, as a pair costing 5x as much. give em a go, you can hear each instrument really well individually, no mid range mudd.??

I bought 4 of these to try out for tracking purposes about a year ago, and they've held up beautifully. They're comfortable, loud and most importantly sound great! Great isolation as well, no mic bleed issues at all. Would definitely recommend!!

I bought the Audio-Technica ATHM20x to replace a pair of Sony headphones the cat had destroyed. I have had them for three weeks and am very satisfied with them. They are big, corded, fit over your ear and do not fold, so if you are looking for a cordless, in your ear set of phones these are not for you. For the price, I am very pleased with the quality of construction, comfort, and quality of sound in these headphones. Even though these are not noise cancelling headphones, the ear pieces, which fit completely over the ears (which I prefer) helps to cancel out ambient noise from the room. The earpieces and head piece are padded and comfortable to wear for extended periods of time. The ATHM20X would not be considered an audiophile level product, but the sound quality is better than the Sony headphones I replaced, (which were the same price), and to me, better than the Dr. Dre Beats headphones my wife bought me (which were a lot more expensive). The long cord gives me an extended range for plugging into a laptop, smart Phone or guitar recording gear, plus it comes with an extra 1/4" RCA jack adapter. This product meets and even exceeds my expectations and I would recommend it to anyone interested in purchasing an inexpensive recreational quality headphone.

I bought these as a backup pair to my usual mixing phones and my first impression was about the materials which they are made plastic but look sturdy. So I go ahead and start using them and I can't help but notice how clean and balanced they sounded. Well long story short, they've become what I use all the time and for the money I think they are really good. Sure you can buy super expensive phones that might outperform these but for what these cost, they are worth every cent and then some. Super clean, really well balanced.

Without getting into all of the technical jargon. I will say these sound great. The highs, the lows, the mids. They’re all there clear as a bell. And the cord is very long, allowing free movement around the control room. Without knocking over your beverage.

I already have a pair of these headphones and I bought a second pair because I have two studios now. These headphones are great for mixing because they don’t over saturate the lower frequencies like Beats. You can tell if your high or mids or low frequencies are too high or low and then adjust accordingly. For mixing these are the best.

I have only owned a few sets of studio headphones. They were from Presonus. These are much cleaner sounding, and fit better in my opinion.

These headphones sound great! I needed a pair of headphones for my home studio but couldn't afford to pay too much. I wasn't expecting these to sound so good. The bass is amazing but my favorite part is the fit. They fit good and tight so no sounds bleads out into the mic.

I found this headset to be exactly what I was looking for. Great sound without over-spending.
Sweet warm sound with a perfect blend of bass. My ears felt completely covered without any outside influence spilling in. The adjustment are tight and haven't bent out of proportion.
Overall I give this product a BIG Thumbs Up!

These are great sounding headphones. I use them for playback, and tracking. They're not as detailed, as the more expensive ATX-M40, or the ATX-M50, but they sound great.

The Audio Technica ATH-M20X HEADPHONE'S ARE THE BEST $50 dollar headphone's out there.Audio Technica's gear last forever. still have my ATH-M40'S from 1999, and they still work and sound great.The ATH-M20X phone's are so nice, i just ordered a second pair from AMS right before writing this review.
