I had used Pioneer HDJ-1000 and had to grab something in a hurry and based on other reviews I bought these and hoped they were as good as the reviews and people they are better. I no longer use the HDJ-1000's anymore and I always have a spare pair of these on hand. They are built VERY well! I wear them 36 hours with 3 or 4 hours breaks for sleep before the next 36 hour stretch while I review bands and after 1 year they still look brand new and I am not what you call easy on them. The comfort level is incredible... perfect fit. The quality is far above any closed studio monitors I have ever used and I have used them all through the years. I could use every word in the dictionary and STILL not be able to totally describe these studio phones. Features What do you consider to be the best features of this product? Right out of the box just put them on and they are amazing. No need to read any manual. They are comfortable with no wear in time at all. I use them with my Macbook Pro, iMac, Studio equipment, 400W receiver, cellphone. You can use them with anything with a 1/8" or 1/4" inlet. I use a 20' extension cable so I can freely move about. Value Was this item an overall good value? You could spend 2 or 3 times as much on another brand and still not match what you get out of these in both value and quality.

What features would you add to this product if you could? These cans sound incredibly good. I bought these for Christmas for my son, and ordered a pair for myself after hearing them. These clearly outperform my ATHM40fs cans. The bass response is not hyped, but very tight and defined. Midrange reveals a lot of detail that I've never heard before in a lot of favorite recordings. Highs are like soft crystal. For tracking, mixing reference, or just plain listening for enjoyment, these are hard to beat at this price point. You could spend twice this much and I'm not sure there'd be a significant improvement. Comfy too. And isolation is very good. Ease of Use How easy is this product to use?
