Your general opinion of this product.
Attractive case with clear well-damped hinged cover, control buttons well placed, set up straightforward.
Would you consider this product to be made well? How dependable?
Appears to be a solid design, no rocking but not particularly heavy, automatic arm features work perfectly.
Ease of Use
How easy is this product to use? How easy is the product to use with other products? Did it take long for you to learn to use this product? Was the manual helpful? How playable do you consider this product to be?
I saved my first LP recording as a .wav file, and using Windows Media Player, the music quality seemed as good (or better than) the original vinyl LP. I could not detect any artifacts on playback.
What do you consider to be the best features of this product? What features would you add to this product if you could?
I would recommend revision of the setup brochure and the Audacity software guide. There are two pulleys, only one of which is the 'drive' pulley, and this should be specifically addressed in the setup instructions. If the belt is looped around both pulleys, the turntable is noisy nd slow. The Audacity software guide should be updated to Windows versions 8 and 8.1
How is the tone?
The tone seems as good as the speakers.
Was this item an overall good value?
Yes. There are other less expensive USB turntables, but the LP60 is totally quiet, the pitch absolutely stable, and the included Audacity software allows one to save files in formats other than MP3. These features justify a premium price for a very good machine.
