Quality
Would you consider this product to be made well? How dependable?
Definitely. You would do yourself a favor and have someone with you when you rack it. No sense in dropping a heavy item that is expensive.
Features
What do you consider to be the best features of this product? What features would you add to this product if you could?
The level of audio control and the variety of sounds you can run through it. Once you get the hang of the eq you will love it. I haven't ran anything through it yet that sounded bad.
Ease of Use
How easy is this product to use? How easy is the product to use with other products? Did it take long for you to learn to use this product? Was the manual helpful? How playable do you consider this product to be?
Very easy. The manual is very helpful and offers some tips on using. In the end, it even says to simply turn the knobs and learn what it does and I couldn't agree more. It's built to last.
Sound
How is the tone?
Pro quality. This is not just project studio quality. It's the real deal found in many professional studies. While some prefer "coloration" I actually prefer transparency.
Reliability
How has it stood up over time?
Without a doubt. I would recommend to order a spare set of tubes from Avalon when you purchase. That way if they go out you will have them already. I think they're like $80 for a set of 4.
General
Your general opinion of this product.
Excellent and well made. I have other units that offer plenty of "coloration" but I prefer this one for clarity and punch.
