Great pedal. I have owned it for 7 months now and unlike a few reviews this is my pedal, and its been to many gigs and real world situations. Road tested, and road worthy. Great product BBE. This product out of the box comes with a 9vlt battery and also has a battery adapter for those who would rather plug into a power strip instead of going through batteries.
Reliability:
15 gigs and countless practices and it still works great.
Overall:
I love this thing. In the 70's for you to go into a solo you would have to use either a eq pedal, or something to boost your signal which would also change your sound. So I purchased this pedal because of what it was supposed to do and BBE company rep. I swear by this pedal, I use it with all my amps and turns my 5150 into a 2 channel amp with boost or lead possibilities on the clean and distortion channels. Play a clean tone, here comes the lead; step on the BBE Boosta and turn off when your done. Does nothing to the over all tone of your amp. Love it
Playability and Feel:
It is a very simple pedal, slight unusual shape but great pedal.
Tone:
Does nothing to your overall EQ of your guitar or amp, has a true by-pass. The silver gain adjust will raise or lower the output of the pedal without adding any over drive or distortion.
Finish:
Blue and white, very visible when on with the blue led light. The silver gain knob is highly visible on a stage to see where its located at so no surprises when you turn on the pedal. Although since it is a huge knob it is easy to accidentally turn the knob.
