Quality Would you consider this product to be made well? How dependable? I actually have the 300 watt version of this and the only issue I have, quality speaking, is that the "passive" input broke. The features are pretty cool, and about what you would expect. The "subharmonic" button, gives you the bass an octave lower and can add a pretty cool effect if you are playing in the upper register (try it on the opening of "Number Of The Beast" by Iron Maiden for a cool sound). If you engage it in the standard rock bass range, you WILL damage your speakers. The "shape" feature is also really good for getting that old school "Motown", Jamerson sound. I use the Deep and High accent buttons together to give it more volume and a better sound. Sound How is the tone? The sound is pretty OK. It is not the sound I was looking for when I first bought it and didn't have the money for my usual brand. I have played this amp in front of larger crowds, and the stage volume more than made up for two guitar players with tube amps who never learned the words "turn down" in school. General Your general opinion of this product. If you are looking for a decent amp at almost no cash, this will serve you well. Except for the broken input, this thing has never let me down at a show. If you are a weekend warrior that is playing for beer money and fun, this is going to serve you just fine. I love the analog pre-amp meter. Helps get the best clean tone I've ever had. The D.I. feature is outstanding. Sound How is the tone? You need good speakers capable of handling a LOT of power. The equalizer allows you to mess with different types of sounds for example the Ultrabass or Shape. Both can come in very handy depending on the music you're playing. The Ultrabass is a little too much (at least for me) to be using it the whole song but the Amp even came with a foot switch for the Ultrabass and Shape feature which comes in very handy. Sound How is the tone? It can go from a very high, bright sound to a low, murky bass. Tone Bright and snappy? Dark and smooth? Were the pickups hot, mellow, thick, thin? Everything can be adjusted to your style really. There isn't just ONE tone that can be used.
