Although the outer shell is plastic it appears to be well made & built to last a while. It's over all appearance is more than what one might expect for a unit in this price range.

The fact that you can hook your studio monitor speakers, desktop speakers, CD/tape & more up to this unit is great! Plus you get the talk back function with the built in mic! Also you can utilize more than 1 set of head phones. "WOW"

Most should be able to quickly figure out how to hook this unit up. Most will probably not even need the manual, it's that easy! All inputs & outputs are clearly marked & functions are intelligently divided into sections which makes operation pretty simple.

How is its Tone?
The unit doesn't seem to alter what you are actually monitoring in any way hence what you here is accurate, even when listening through the head phone jacks.
Reliability
How has it stood up over time?
Haven't had it that long so I cannot speak about it's reliability however I have other products from Behringer that have been very reliable so I expect this product will be no different.

Love it! It looks good, does exactly what it's supposed to do & most importantly for me, I feel it is well worth the asking price!

Very well made, no frills, good for the money.

One of the thing that I like is the talk back feature and using the footswitch. Read the manual to get the right footswitch polarity. One feature that I would like to add is be able to place it in an angle position instead flat to the table. I put a small wood strip underneath.

Manual is very good. I was able to hook everything up in about an hour.

Sound very natural, the preamps of this unit is strong.

So far so good for a 8 hours session.

Still new... its a bit light (plastic) so I don't know yet. I didn't purchase it to last for years... I needed a cheap talkback and got a few more added features!

This is disposable. You will want to throw it away at about six months to buy another or upgrade to a mackie or presonus.

Best features are all of them. Iuse talkback all the time. I switch monitors all the time. It powers my and the artists headphones. Has a mute button. Mono button. An external mic jack would be good tho. Cuz the built in one is not good.

worked perfect for a couple months. Knobs do feel real cheap.

Worth the 40 bucks i paid. One knob is on the fritz. It makes scratchy noises as i turn it and.... has incorrect l/r balance at low levels. VERY annoying.....
