I noticed this was left out of the new manual. This info is available on line by searching or you can down load the PMP 518M manual. Sound How is the tone? Great General Your general opinion of this product. I bought a PMP 518M in December of 2007.I smoked it by plugging & unpluging a speaker with it on. I never had an issue with it until then ! I use it to mic my drums and use 2x12 MCM Technical Pro poly cabinets with horns. The Smp power supply means it has no power transformer & cuts the weight by 6 lbs. I had to put some velcro on the bottom to keep it from walking off the top of the speaker. I am a retired electronics technician & if one or two the outputs shorts, It will peel foil on the output board. I have been looking @ this 300 watt for some time even before I killed mine. The PMP 518M is on sale for $99.00 so I ordered another of it also as a back up!It is heavier because of the transformer. The PMP530M is the newer unit. I can not tell any difference in the output volume from the 2, side by side. one is 180 watts and the newer one says 300 watts. Any way I like the newer one because of the lighter weight. They are throw away items after the warranty if the out puts go.

Manual has very limited instructions with all the languages printed on 20 pages. Sound How is the tone? Great for what I use it for which is CD's and listening pleasure. General Your general opinion of this product. I to am dissappointed with the FX processor area. I don't know what's preset and where to find them when using a mic. With 100 presets time is of essense when recording with a dubbing with a microphone n pre-recorded CD's.

The best feature is the powe, the 5 mic/line inputs and how simple it is to operate, it drives our 2,2X12 mains to sound their best. We miked the whole band last night and we sounded awesome and the vocals came out loud and clear with plenty of headroom left. The FBQ feed back is nifty, and is great at finding feedback when no one is playing. See when other inputs are also used the FBQ light up pretty much all the time. To use the FBQ right you would hook up all your mikes and crank up the volume, then when it starts to feeds back reduce the slider on the illuminated EQ. Ease of Use How easy is this product to use? The mixer is very very easy to use, basic controls keep it simple. The owner’s manual is poorly written and in multiple languages. They should have an entire English section instead of mixing everything up., you have to see it or download it to see what I mean. Manual=Fail but almost unnecessary anyway. Sound How is the tone? Band loud and clear at practice and shows, got several complements. I am a little disappointed with the manual for the FX section, so far FX sounds good but the manual failed to map out the effects so you have no idea unless you memorize the effects. We did not play with the FX that much, I found a good reverb and messed with it a bit and it sounded good but did not have the time to go thru all 100 FX to see what each one is and can do.
