Factory prests are a BIT "LAME".BUT,you can tweak them a bit and come up wth some KILLER PATCHES,the Clean Amp Models are usable,VERY GOOD in my opinion,again,MY OPINION,but where this baby SHINES is in the HIGH GAIN SIDE! My FAVE-The ENGL SAVAGE BEAST,..you can tweak this amp model to get everything from Blues/Classic Rock,to,MELT YOUR FACE OFF METAL,lol!
Reliability:
I have owned the VAMP PRO,the VAMPIRE 1200H 120 watt head,THESE ARE WELL BUILT,NEVER a PROBLEM,I've had my VAMPIRE HEAD for over 9 years,STILL as GOOD as when I took it out of the Box!
Overall:
THIS IS The Rackmount processor you want if you want someting that's AFFORDABLE,and KICKS A$$ ALL THE WAY AROUND! FORGET LINE 6 POD PRO,DIGIDESIGN ELEVEN,and,FRACTAL ,...for the $ you'll save,$170 vs $699,$800,and,$10000PLUS,you can go out,buy another guitar,some More gear,a NICEGift for your girl,etc. The VAMP PRO does the job when it comes to gigging,recording,etc,of course,IMO ,but,DON'T KNOCK IT UNTIL YOU PLUG INTO ONE!!

I've owned this unit for three years, and have never had one problems with this or any other Behringer equipment.

Playability and Feel:
Controls are very easy to operate and if you use MIDI, any sequencer can send program changes at just the right measure so you don't have to touch a thing.
Tone:
Tone is great with plenty of options to make and store your own pre-sets - it rocks!

I love the rotary look of this box - finish is great

Decent. I have used it for over a year in my rack and have had no problems.
Reliability:
No problems after a year of use so far. I take good care of my equipment so I have not given this abuse that would break it however I do use it a lot and everything is working fine still.
Overall:
For the money this is probably one of the best deals out there. Unlike another comment on this product, I have had no problems at all using the Behringer FCB 1010 MIDI Controller Foo Board with this product. It works great! Just download the FREE PC or Mac software editor from the Behringer or Yahoo user groups. Simple. It does take some learning if you have never used something like this but then so would any product you are using for the first time. Duh. The factory Preset patches have some great tones and both the factory and user preset patches can be tweaked to your liking. I have a very nice all tube expensive rack rig. Still I find this V Amp Pro VERY useful and way beyond worth the money.
Playability and Feel:
Very light! 2 space rack mount. If you wanted to travel light then the V Amp Pro, a light Power Amp and a 1x12 or 2x12 cab and you would be amazed at the variety of tones available. I use and have had no problems with the Behringer FCB 1010 MIDI Foot Controller. Makes changing patches/tones a one step process.
Tone:
Amazing variety. Lots of amp models and effects. All tweakable to your liking. I am running this thru a two channel all tube power amp so that does not hurt I imagine.
Action:
It would be nice to have a "super" model of this with metal knobs and also a tube or two in the path for those persons not using a tube power amp. Also a more compact version of the Behringer FCB 1010 MIDI Foot Controller would be really great [one or no expression pedals] and a larger LCD display.
