I agree it is adequate, but I wouldn't drop it or stand on it. Some of the knobs and faders have some play in them and do not exude the feeling of top quality. I would be willing to pay more money for a higher quality feel, but in fairness it doesn't affect the sound and you can't complain too much for the price. I think this product is an excellent value with an outstanding feature set that is unfortunately built down to a price instead of up to a standard. If you know your mixers, the layout on this is very intuitive and the fact that you have 2 buses makes life a lot better Sound How is the tone? The mixer sounds great, the mic preamps, sound great. I did a comparison of the mic preamps between this mixer and another mixer that is very high quality.. There was no difference, it sounded clear and uncolored.. The only difference you're going to find is if you put all the faders at full, and the busses on full and the main outs on full and you compare it to the higher quality mixer doing the same, as I did, this one is noisier, but not by much... But nobody uses a mixer like this unless you don't know what you're doing... Long story short, this is a great mixer.. Reliability How has it stood up over time? I owned it for a short while and I traded it for its larger sibling, the 2442, that's how much I liked it... I needed a larger mixer for my purposes...

Yeah, it's well made in a Chinese factory - get over it already :o) I've been using mine indoors, outdoors, studio, etc. and it's dependable. The effects are much better than my Behringer board I bought 5 years ago. They are programmable now and you don't have to re-program them each power up. Ease of Use How easy is this product to use? Easy to get around on - manual is clear and has lots of pics. Sound How is the tone? It sounds very good, and is easy to tweak if you want to change anything. Remember - it's only $219 US.
