| I've had a 4 Mic-pre Behringer (MX1604) for several years and haven't had a single problem with it. It was time for an upgrade, and the XENYX2222FX seems even better quality than my last mixer! Metal constructions, rack mounts, solid I/O jacks, and comfortable sliders. | | Features:
| The FX were a great addition to basic mixer functionality. A single effect can be put through either main or the subgroups which is a nice feature. I'm already seeing how it could benefit in recording to enhance the sound at different levels per channel.
I wish turning FX on and off were easier. Rather than including the extremely basic RCA-to-USB audio converter, they should have just included a footswitch. I was under the impression this mixer hooked directly into the computer which is not the case; it just converts a standard stereo out to USB.

| With my MX1604 experience, this mixer wasn't much different. Without reading the instructions, mixing FX in wasn't as obvious as it could be, and you have to make sure that all the MAIN buttons are engaged. For the most part, it's a basic mixer with advanced functionality. | | Sound:
| I wasn't able to test it with my PA rig, but my speakers are cheap anyway. Through the headphones it sounds clean and crisp, putting my old MX1604 to shame. |
