Perfect for Practice and Gigs
Quality:
Pretty apparent that this is built to last. Here's a tip, go to home improvement store and get the big black plastic Stanley tool box. This head fits perfectly into it with room on each side for foam folded over cables and stuffed in. Great protection.
Sound:
Tone is obviously subject to what you plug it into. 1x15, 4x10, 2x12 have all had their own particular character, obviously. But all of them have a smooth, touch-sensitive sound. At breakup, it goes from blues-rock to heavy rock/early metal. Clean headroom is ok, but not really what this amp is for. It takes pedals well. It's a hard rock amp.
Reliability:
Two years and many gigs later, it's like new.
Overall:
Great amp at a great price. I wrote this review because I want people to know that this is a very worthy amp. I hate to see it ignored or marginalized. I have played very expensive junk, and this is just the opposite.
Playability and Feel:
Heavily built, pots all feel solid.
Tone:
Finish:
Really well put together tolex and piping. I like the 3-d badge, you really can't see it in the pictures, but it's impressive.

Out of the box, JJ's. If you like em', great.

Top notch for $350
Sound:
I've had, '74 50w Marshall non-master volume head, various vintage Fender tube amps, currently a '73 Fender Deluxe Reverb. This amp holds it's own against most of the best production amps. I have a wide variety of electric guitars. This amp makes all 12 of them sound good, plus it only takes me a minute to dial the right tone for any guitar, any style except for maybe scooped grunge. Can't say enough about it, buying a 2nd to run 2 heads w/ 2 Epiphone 1x12 cabs, (like their voicing over the blackheart 1x12s.
Reliability:
I except it to be good. 'very large transformers, metal shaft pots, (even my '73 Deluxe has plastic breakable pot shafts). I've run it full gain with no sign of strain, much like the joy of my Deluxe.
Overall:
'nothing better for the money, and maybe hard to find anything better for 4x the money.
Playability and Feel:
Tone:
Bass, mid, treble, presence, drive, master do it all for any guitar, any style except for maybe scooped metal, but a metal peddle will catch that, and this amp loves pedals.
Finish:
Top notch. Wish logo was a little smaller, (humility guys, the sound sells it).
