Your general opinion of this product.
When looking for a half stack to purchase for my Christmas present I was split between the Marshall DSL 100 and this little monster. I read reviews after reviews and finally made my choice. This head is absolutely amazing in every aspect. I will never again go with a solid state amplifier ever again, except for in a practice amp.
Would you consider this product to be made well? How dependable?
Well built and very sturdy. Craftsmanship is flawless.
Playability and Feel
How does it feel, Heavy, Fast, Chunky? How was the neck? Are the controls easy to get to while playing?
The controls are very user friendly and versatile.
Bright and snappy? Dark and smooth? Were the pickups hot, mellow, thick, thin?
Endless sounds with the ISF control. Goes from the American crunch to an aggressive British sound at the turn of a dial. Clean channel is very crisp and clear with its own tone knob. Never thought how loud a 50-watt tube head could be. This amp is superb in sound quality and gets better in volume.
How was the action out of the box?
Very easy to setup. Be sure to read the manual in order to probably connect your cabinet. Very versatile cabinet configurations.
How did the stain or paint job look?
Flawless black covering. Like the addition of the gold trim. Looks sharp and clean.
How has it stood up over time?
Owned for about three weeks, and do not expect any problems in the future besides normal wear and tear.
