Seems pretty sturdy. The Microphone ball is solid, the pop-out camera might be a concern if you are opening and closing it a lot.

I've made one Skype call so far and the people on the other end of the call said the picture and sound were both better than my MacBook Pro.
Ease of Use:
Plug and play on a Dell XPS 4100 with Vista Home Premium.
Sound:
Haven't done any recordings, but other end of Skype call said it was very clear.
