Product Rating This thing has a little weight to it! Not just a little piece of plastic with a small microphone inside. I love love love the omnidirectional choices you get with this thing, you can record anything in almost any setting. What could be harder than plug and play? Oh thats right... NOTHING! This is not a multi-million dollar mic obviously so don't expect your playback to be flawless.. BUT! This thing rocks! I play in a loud rock band and we really needed something to record our sessions with little effort and this guy came through! I was a little worried that this unit wouldn't be able to pick the low end (bass guitar) on our recordings without flubbing out.. Well after our first recording it more than put my mind at ease and reassured me that I made a wise purchase! Its really clear even without running our gear through a mixer. We just dialed in and went! Your general opinion of this product. I couldn't be more happy, this thing really shines through and the price can't be beat!

Recording Heaven

This product is plastic, but its hard, sturdy plastic. The only downfall of the design is its enormous size, its roughly the size of a softball, so it can be cumbersome at times and with the ringer the diameter doubles, but still it hasn't broken on me yet and i've had it since Christmas The best part about this microphone is definately the ease of use. All you have to do is plug it into your computer and play, it is that simple! No hassling with software or phantom power, this microphone is raedy to go out of the box. The three recording modes are a really nice touch as well, the first is for direct recording, the second is for more indirect recording, and the third records all around the microphone. And it is portable, affordable, and reliable. I would compare the ease of set up to plugging in a guitar to an amp, its almost idiot proof Because this is an all-in-one microphone don't expect a professional sound quality, but don't expect a cheap product either.

Great Value in a simple package

Very well-made, very dependable, although I haven't traveled with it. It appears to be highly resistant to dust. Switchable mic patterns This is a very simple, plug & play mic. It took about a minute to set up AND make a test recording. I'm using it for spoken word only, and it totally fits the bill. Desktop mic stand has rubber feet that insulate extraneous noise, and so far I haven't needed the shock mount (optional). Very attractive Space Age design makes it a pleasure to display on my desk and is also a conversation piece for clients. It is a bit heavy and bulky for travel, so I would recommend a different mic if portability is desired. Overall an excellent mic, really great value, recommended. Tone is very good for spoken word. I haven't used it for instruments or singing.

Seems sturdy enough built .. Dont think I would go Roger Daultrey with it thou. Cool retro space ship vibe going on .. As easy as Pie .. Just plug in and away we go ! Was way surprised how good this sounded ... Captured some loud live Drums and Bass but also some Acoustic Guitar. It wont beat up your Neumanns but for some dead simple demo work this cant be topped.
