It did not take me long AT ALL! its simple PLUG N' PLAY! i assume the manual is helpful although i was to eager to use it STRAIGHT away! Sound How is the tone? The sound texture is FANTASTIC! The tone could be better, it doesn't Have as much BASS But besides that everything is AMAZING! Overall Your general opinion of this product. This Product is Defiantly Affordable for what it is! Blue always has great quality with ALL of the products i have tried, and despite this being their 'lower' end product, it still packs a great sound whilst being small enough to carry around. perfect for hotel rooms and being on the road! What features would you add to this product if you could? for the portability, this is the best USB mic i have tried out, personally. it has the same condenser as the regular Snowflake, just not the surround casing. this mic folds up into a protective shell that makes it great for those on the go, and field recordings. the one feature i would add would be a zip-case to protect it from scratching, but, those are easy enough to find, seperately. How playable do you consider this product to be? the installation was quick and simple; however, i had already installed a different Blue USB Snowflake before and it had taken a little doing, but ended up working fine. Sound How is the tone? the tone is not the same as the Snowflake that is in a casing, but close enough, with twice the portability. i actually recorded a drum kit with just this one mic and liked the results, with some nice post-effects included.
