Man these speakers sound sweet! I’ve used them for djing, and live vox, guitars, even flutes and sounds like a cd or my very nice studio monitors. They are relatively light for their power, so transporting is pretty easy. I use them with a mixer, but technically you can plug in mics, guitars, keys, drum machines directly into the speakers if necessary. The sound is more like a big time music studio than just regular PA speakers. They have plenty of power at 1000 watts a piece. Just get them, they should sound killer with modeling pedals,etc. I love these!

So much is subjective when it comes to live performance systems. I've used several different systems over the years, but what I like about the Bose Line Array system is it takes our studio sound and brings it to live performance - what I hear in my headphones is exactly how they sound. I love that it doesn't take Hurcules to transport and set up, unlike the racked components which take two and a van.

I have never owned Bose products until buying these. I demoed these in a local music store about 4 years ago. And my jaw hit the floor! The sound clarity, quality, and shear volume was beyond impressive. The line array really does it’s job of throwing sound up down and all around. I personally run the 812 with the high pass filter off for added meat and bass. The subs are by far the most impressive part. They throw bass up to almost 180 degrees as far out as 300’ with no dead spots. It doesn’t lose its punch or get muddy out in a field. I love these speakers. I have had systems six times the size and weight with no where near the punch and clarity. Bose has always impressed me. I sold all of my larger speakers and amps and replaced with a pair of 812’s and F1 subs. Never looking back!

A year ago I bought two 12" midranges powered speakers for $700 (different brand). I decided to buy Bose F1 speaker (just one) for use in my basement and sold my other two speakers. Man, this Bose F1 outshines the other two in term of sound quality. I bought $999 a day before Bose raised the F1 price to $1099 now. If I know the price will go up, I would have bought two.

Line 1 No longer works, I had to run 1/4 inch into line 2 and 1/2 way through the gig the sound went out. I had to jiggle the 1/2 inch plug a bit to keep producing sound. At one point, I had to hold the cord in a certain position.
How or who do you contact to have them looked at? 4800.00 system, used 2 years and now may have to invest in replacement.

I've had many other systems in the past like JBL, QSC and others that don't even come close to the beautiful highs, mids, and lows that this system produces. The perfect balance that the built in EQ promotes is exceptional and is what you've come to expect from Bose. The beautiful encasement and the superb workmanship that Bose puts into their products is what sets them miles ahead of anyone else.

It took about 2 years to finally buy this product. Countless hours of research, videos, talking to music stores, and even calling Bose directly to find out about every detail on this system. This was one of those purchases that I wish I made instead of doing the quantity over quality purchases.
This system sounds great and everyone agrees that has heard it. I bought the packaged deal with two mains, two subs, and the covers. The covers definitely protect the speakers during transport which is nice. The setup takes just a few minutes and the look of the setup is top notch. The built in cord hides work well for a clean stage look. If you play outdoor gigs and want some extra bass, you will need an additional sub for the extra thump. Tear down is a breeze and the weight of the units isn't a back breaker like previous systems I've owned.
Overall this is my go to system for ease of use, setup, professional look, and quality of sound. I'm sure you could piece together other systems to out compete this one but I wanted piece of mind and professionalism. This one does it for me.

I went by reviews and they were correct. If I could give them more than 5 stars I would. I recently used them in a 40’000 sqft building for a dance performance and I received so many complements on the sound. I had about 400 in the audience with no problem with volume whatsoever. Extremely clear and solid bass. You could feel the solid tight punch of the music with plenty of volume in reserve. Used a QSC touchmix 16 with these.

OK, I will preface it this by saying that I’ve been sort of out of the higher volume music market for several years. I played in bands in the 80s and 90s that had the big 18 in. Sub or double 15 inch sugar scoops, folded horns, huge PA stacks, etc. etc. Now, I’m doing to do all the playing at restaurants and some have outdoor stages. I have a small JBL unit that is like the first Bose model with the base cabinet and the stem on top. I wanted something stronger for the outdoor courtyard gigs that we will do and some of the louder restaurants. I only have used the whole set up once, it wasn’t the knock-down volume I was thinking it might be, but then we were indoors and limited there. In a couple of weeks we will be outdoors, so hope to see it really shine there. Not looking for pin your ears back type volume like in the good old hairband days, just looking for a good clean and full sound. I might do a follow up review this after that outdoor gig.

Going from the old bulky plywood and carpet enclosures, with separate amps and amp racks on wheels, to this totally self-powered getup, it’s no contest.
Way easy set up/break down/transport, great sound, no ugly tripod/integrated stands instead, hideaway cable capability and lighter weight than larger systems.
Here’s what I will say, if it wasn’t any good, I wouldn’t have bought 6 pairs of these bad boys, tops & bottoms, (Model 812 Array and F1 Subwoofer.).

Thanks to American Musicals 12 payment plan I was able to buy 3 more Bose F1 Series speakers! If you're a mobile DJ, this is pretty much your only option. I've tried everyone's thin line array speaker and there just IS NOT enough power in those. I don't mean to knock any other speaker line but Bose is the Tesla of audio.
My favorite thing about these speakers is how light they are. I'm not sure how they put 1000 watts into a speaker that weighs around 45lbs but they did it. It's like putting King-Kong inside a small cage and anytime you want to hear him roar just open up the cage! And it's a Bose, the sound quality is second to none. I was DJing a wedding and a photographer who hears DJs week end and week out came, up to me and said, "Dude, these Bose sound incredible." AND on top of everything, on the back of the F1-812 you basically have a 4 channel mixer. You can plug in line audio, a mic and 2 more lines. If your regular desktop mixer fails, no worries, plug your stuff directly into the back of the speaker.
You are scrolling through reviews right now, trying to decide what to go with and my friend, listen to me, stop scrolling. I wish I could grab your shoulders like Jack Palance did to Jack Nicholson in the original Batman. Listen, don't scroll by these speakers. Bose F1's will take your mobile sound game to outer-space.

I have 2 Bose tops and 2 subs... These things can not take a beating... They sound great...!! Don’t get me wrong.... But they just keep blowing... Customer service is excellent with repairing them, but I don’t know if I’m doing something wrong or not... They cost too much just to keep blowing that easily... Someone please help me out ???????? We've done probably a dozen live shows with these now and have never had an issue with them. I'm using them with powered EV 18 subs and they sit on poles coming out of the subs. I felt that the F1 subs just didn't have the same punch that the EVs have.

I am an organist for Tennessee Walking Horse and Pleasure Horse shows and travel extensively throughout Tennessee... The Bose F! Model 812 Flexable Array sounds amazing; Crisp, clear, and articulate with plenty of head room. The controls and adjustable line array functions are very intuative and easy to use. My vocals have never sounded better, nor has my guitar been that shimmery and rich. When used with the Bose F1 Powered Subwoofer, the system is ideal, compact, and has a very clean, professional look with amazing audio quality. Kudos to Bose! Bose quality all the way, great sounding speaker, the flexible array works great, a bit expensive but worth every penny!
