I have never been much of a modulation guy. But this pedal with its ease of use and cool effect has made me a believer.

This Chorus ensemble, the Super chorus, and MXR analog chorus are all equally wonderful. Basically pick any of these 3 for amazing chorus for your board!

Nice, gentle Chorus. Nothing extreme.

Product Review
This is a more subtle chorus, giving your sound a more nuanced breadth. It won't give you a warble if that's an option you want. Sounds heavenly with clean tones - adds a sort of crystal presence without high-end shimmer - soft, gentle waves lapping at the shore on a warm, summer day.
The only thing I don't like about it is that the stereo outs are entirely too close together. You won't get some patch cables in both outputs.
My guitars:
Strat with EMG SA pu's
Epiphone Les Paul with EMG 81/85 pu's

Just Ok, needs a stereo in, a bit out dated considering the competition for just a few more bucks. Limited range of effects, spend the extra and get the ZOOM CDR, you will be happier.

Lush chorus with lots of versatility

Good quality. Can't really go wrong with a Boss/Roland product.
I've had the CE-5 for only a few weeks now. But judging by my other Boss pedals, some of which I've used for over 16 years, these pedals are highly reliable.
Your general opinion of this product.
My favorite chorus is the TC. However, I use chorus sparingly and the TC seemed too expensive for that and the hardwired AC cord makes it awkward for my simple pedal board (just compressor, overdrive and chorus). The CE-5 on the other hand can sound almost just as lush, and the high- and low- cut filters make it highly versatile. I've tried the Voodoo lab chorus, Visual sound H2O, Digitech x-series and also the Boss CH-1. The voodoo lab, H2O and CH-1 each have a unique voice, but somehow didn't appeal to me. The Digitech had a bit more versatility, but somehow the sound felt very 'processed'. The CE-5 on the other hand has a very lush voice and the hi and low filters make it very versatile. The filters really allow you to go from wobbly to subtle and warm to brittle.
