Quality Would you consider this product to be made well? How dependable? It's Boss...it's solid! Reliability How has it stood up over time? I've had mine for several years now and have used it with both batteries and the power supply and have never had a moments pause when it comes to putting it in my signal chain Overall Your general opinion of this product. Typical of Boss pedals,it's rugged, reliable and sounds great. Playability and Feel How does it feel, Heavy, Fast, Chunky? How was the neck? Are the controls easy to get to while playing? Just a slight learning curve and you're in bussiness. If you're familiar with any of the other Boss twin pedals it will seem familiar as well.Everything is clearly and logically marked, just like any good'ol stompbox should be. Tone Bright and snappy? Dark and smooth? Were the pickups hot, mellow, thick, thin? The tone is what you make of it.This box has tone to spare...if you take the time to go through all that it offers. It operates silently and shifts seamlessly between the most subtle old school delay...to some truly demented modulated delays. Finish How did the stain or paint job look? Metallic pearl white is cool, but metallic black would be sweet! Action How was the action out of the box? If it had action it would kick a**!!

Quality Would you consider this product to be made well? How dependable? All metal and LED lit, solid as most Boss pedals are,and the rubber bottom pad is great for non slip apps Reliability How has it stood up over time? It has not let me down yet,and I play everyday and perform on Sundays Overall Your general opinion of this product. I love it,I have alot of options for different delay types, and with time and patients,I have made sound like an echo machine all the way to some great U2ish tones from it. Playability and Feel How does it feel, Heavy, Fast, Chunky? How was the neck? Are the controls easy to get to while playing? took a lil while to coax the tones I wanted out of it, and still experiment with it almost daily Tone Bright and snappy? Dark and smooth? Were the pickups hot, mellow, thick, thin? depends on the guitar used and pups used, with my Ibanez S series the single coils were bright and reproduced their tone nicely, with my humbucker equipped guitars it was nice and dark and thick. Finish How did the stain or paint job look? good,no scratches or chips, doesn't look cheap!!! Action How was the action out of the box? the presets were ok,but I needed some more U2ish sounds from it,it has a small learning curve but if you have used other delays it's pretty straight forward

Quality Would you consider this product to be made well? How dependable? Again, being a Boss unit it's solid and reliable. Reliability How has it stood up over time? Like most Boss pedals, it's a solid workhorse; I've had mine for almost a year of heavy studio use and no problems at all. Overall Your general opinion of this product. The DD20's 23 second max delay is perfect for building up long looping passages that slowly fade/degrade over time, ala Robert Fripp's early tape-based Frippertronics. I also use a Boss FS-5L latching footswitch (also purchased here at AMS) with my DD20 to remotely kick in/out the delay as needed during live and recorded ambient performances; this works great when you use the DD20's ability to keep the delays going after you bypass it with the footswitch, so you can play other parts over the top without adding more to the looping textures you've built up at tha point. My only real wish-list item would be to be able to enter fractional BPM times, i.e. 100.9 instead of just 100...this would allow for more precise lockups to other delays when needed.
