It's a Tone Factory!
Quality:
It's built like a brick. Doesn't slide around on the floor and you don't have to treat it like it's made of glass like some of the pedals out there. You can stomp on it or jump on it and it still sits there lookin and sounding great
Reliability:
I've had it for 3 months and there isn't even a hint of a problem
Overall:
It's everything I was looking for and more. I was tired of dealing with cables and stompboxes surrounding me and they are all in one neat package that stays where you put it. And it is a tone monster, I can dial in any sound I want.
Playability and Feel:
It feels like it was built to last forever. The pedals respond immediately, it lights up like a christmas tree so you can always see what your doing - even in sunlight.
Tone:
I play a American Deluxe Strat and the GT-10 is the perfect compliment to it. The only gripe I have is the wah-wah. I have used a cry baby for over 30 years and the GT-10 has one on board, but it is so much easier using the pedal instead of dialing it in and hoping you didn't turn on the volume pedal instead.
Action:
It is very easy to use. If you are new to all of this you won't get overwhelmed with a thousand settings,It has a lot of usable presets that are easy to figure out- but if you have been around awhile there are probably a thousand settings to play with

Exceptional Tone, usabillity and price!
Quality:
Excellent quality with no flaws that I can find. The display is easy to read and it's likely not possible to break it without trying to.
Sound:
What's not to like? While not really intuitive to learn, if there's a sound you want to make, this board will probably make it. I've only had mine for 2 months and have only scratched the surface of it's abilities. It's going to do what you tell it to do.
Reliability:
Only 2 months, but so far, no issues.
Overall:
Just an amazing piece of gear! I loved my GNX4 but this may be better still. It's certainly sturdier. A second expression pedal would have probably made it perfect.
Playability and Feel:
You'll notice that each bank has 4 patches, the first patch in any bank is the mildest while the 4th patch in any bank is the wildest. The "P" banks are the factory patches. The "U" banks and patches are all editable. Set them up as you see fit. Assigning functions to control pedals has a bit of a learning curve and while the manual tells you how to do it, it really doesn't tie it all together and tell you how it all works.
Tone:
Depending on the patch you select, or make, the tone can be great or it can be rubbish. It's easy to take an excellent patch and quickly trash it. Know your EQ and the functions of all of the drives, reverbs, distortions, modulations, etc, and you'll do well. There are a LOT of options in there. Youtube has some excellent demos and tutorials on the GT-10 and there's a good forum out there with some really expert GT users as well. Suggest you make use of them all!
Finish:
The finish is handsome silver and black. Very professional looking.
Action:
Plug it in, plug your guitar in, attach it to an amp and do it to it. Word has it that the modeling is more true to life when used with headphones rather the a guitar amp, and some people prefer a PA or a keyboard amp because they deal with higher frequencies better than a guitar amp, but I have no issues with how it works as is, run through my Blackstar 40

You'll love this Boss
Quality:
Solid construction...I like the steel.
Sound:
Touch sensitive..as you turn down the guitar volume...GT-10 is responsive like an amp.Rare in a floor pedal...many good tones as you turn down.
Great Harmonies ...having the extra parts makes it a work horse.I use it through a rack tube amp.I like a tube amp ... the GT-10 does the rest.
Reliability:
I have been using GT-10 for over a year...Pro gigs...with a drink split on it one night...Never fazed it.I keep it in a road case I made.I believe it will last longer than me.
Overall:
Best out there for this kind of money
Playability and Feel:
Progressive ..you'll be surprised
Tone:
Find it ...it's all in there.
Finish:
Good
This color hides all dirt...you have to clean it anyway..you'll never see the finger prints.

I like the metal finish, would prefer black though.

Its a Monster! Metal!!! Built very well
Overall:
Built like a tank! Versitile! Great Tone! And ease of use with great presets right out of the box!
Playability and Feel:
The controls are very easy to read and understand with a little manuel reading you will be on your way to killer guitar tones and sound.
Tone:
Killer Tone! I use this unit mostly in a project studio doing demo stuff and originals. But this unit along with a set of headphones is an unbelieveable practice tool with the built in Looper. Also doesnt bother my Peeps when they are trying to watch TV. I practice right beside them. Great Tool!
Finish:
Metallic and appears to be very durable

David from MA
Quality:
It is Boss quality all the way, exactly as expected.
Sound:
The sound is what you make it, guitar and player dependent. I find myself just getting into a sound and letting my fingers run away and then I look up and a couple of hours have gone away.
Reliability:
It's a Boss, have you ever had one that was not? Not Me
Overall:
Its a tank, a genuine tank, rolling over the hill tank, shooting big holes in the wall tank.
Playability and Feel:
Knobs and buttons are easy to use, I don't like having to depress both foot switches to start the loop recorder, but that can be changed with a few simple steps. I expect that I will be building a large library of the user saved effects for years as I learn the nuances of the GT10 and my music evolves. I think the sky is the limit as far as variability of sounds, time will tell.
Tone:
Its easy to get many metal sounds without much working knowledge and experience with the unit. Getting quality clean sounds takes more time, effort and finness.
Finish:
Grey/Silver and Metal. It is what it is, just like the picture.

Killer Boss Floorboard
Quality:
This thing is a tank.
Sound:
The general tone of this unit is bright and lively (much like the Boss pedals), its also really touch sensitive. I didn't realize how much noise my hands made until I got this unit. The upside is that helped improve my picking alot.
Amp Models:
The models sound like pedals version of the amps they represent, this is not a bad thing, as IMO its improves on what I didn't like about the representative amps in reality.
Effects:
are, in general, pretty good, being able to moce them around was one of the reasons I bought this unit in the first place. Synths tracks EXTREMELY well. but don't quite have the sonic variety of the Pod. Harmonizers work well too, but they've always worked well with Boss units, so no surprise there. The Reverb are not its strong point, I've heard much bettter reverbs on other units. An exception would be the spring reverb. Roland actually added the sound of a clanking spring to its spring reverb, which was very cool.
Reliability:
Had mine for three months now, no problems which again, is something I would totally expect from Boss.
Overall:
I really lke this floorboard. So much so that I'm writing a new album with it. It's comparable with the Pod X3 Live (which I owned before this board), although very different.
Playability and Feel:
The unit is solid. Footswitches do not have a physical click, but do have lights.
Tone:
refer to sound section
Finish:
It's silver metal. Looks nice, its does get dirty though.
Action:
Nice, I didn't even have to calibrate the floorboard, which was nice

easy to play around with if you played around with boss before

Quality:
Very well made! Nice design, easy to understand. Very high qaulity!
Sound:
I love the way it sounds. Very rich clean sounds. Way too many options but that's what I love about it.
I've owned the Gt-8, I like this better. It really allows you to go deep into your own creativity and come out with some amazing new sounds.
Reliability:
This thing is built like a tank, though it will probably stay in my studio, I wouldn't be afraid to take it on the road.
It's made of metal,very sturdy!
Overall:
When I first got this I knew I had to experiment with it before I made any descions about how to rate it. This thing is awesome! It allows you to create your own tones and add effects. I'm amazed at all of the great sounds I get out of it.
I'm going directly into my audio interface with wonderful results.
I'm not really sure about the purpose of the USB connection, it doesn't work like I wanted it to work. You'd think they would have designed it like a plugin but they didn't. Maybe it's ok to transfer data but I wouldn't use it to record, it's much better to go directly into your audio interface.
It's tons of fun the sounds are rich and full. You can get the sound you want.
Playability and Feel:
It's not a tuba.
Tone:
Any tone you want. Endless possibilities!
Action:
Action? Maybe it will help me to get some action.

Get It... The GT-10 and AMS are Awesome!
Quality:
This effects processor, like its predecessors, is very well built. The pedal foot switches are well placed and easy to use. The wah/volume/expression pedal is smooth.
Sound:
The factory tones (patches) are great but, like all multi-effects processors, are not always usable. You can, however, alter any aspect of any tone and import tones from other users. I use the GT-10 with a Roland GR-20 guitar synth (also purchased from AMS) along with a Boss RC-50 loop station. Guitars used with the GT-10: Fender Deluxe VG Strat, Fender Roland Ready Strat, Gibson LP Custom ('76) w/ GK-3 pickup. This combination of units provides a wide array of usability and tones.
Reliability:
Don't know yet. I have Boss pedals dating back to the late '70s that are still going strong.
Overall:
The Boss GT-10 is an awesome effects processor! As with any multi-effects processor, not all of the patches are perfect and usable; however, you have the option to adjust everything. I do not fiddle with the patches much and have found a number of them that use regularly. You can also import patches from other users with the library feature, even GT-8 and GT-6 patches. Although there is a USB port, you cannot use it to load patches; this must be done via the midi connections with a midi/USB device. The library software could be more user friendly. Regardless, this is a "must have" processor. The onboard looper is good, but the stereo loop time is too short (16-18 sec.), but it is good for some quick looping action. The I/O options are good and the CTL switches and be independently configured.
Playability and Feel:
The controls, switches, and wah/volume pedal are easy to use. The new blue LCD is good and you can select what data you need to see, a little, a lot, big, small, etc. The new red indicator lights are an improvement; however, in a dark room, the bright red lights visually block the button labels, so some familiarity with the button locations is required.
Tone:
Perfect and fully adjustable! However, to get the raw tones from the GT-10 you must use a super clean guitar amp, keyboard amp (Roland KC line), or PA.
Finish:
The new silver finish is fantastic; no fingerprints!
Action:
Does not apply here, but the unit functioned perfectly right out of the box. AMS shipped quickly and even beat a competitor's price -- AMS is Awesome!

Reliability:
Boss processors are notably durable, unless you are an idiot and like to abuse your equipment
Overall:
This board is awesome, I give it a "10"
Playability and Feel:
The volume/wah/pitch shift pedal has a sensitivity adjustment on the toe switch, how cool is that!?
Tone:
The tone is infinate.
Finish:
Cool silver heavy metal flake
Action:
Some say deffinatly read the owners manual because of the complex and difficult parameters, but if you have owned any Boss guitar effects processors, you can easilly pull it strait out of the box and start writing your own programs, plus this thing has some realy cool channel "A" and channel "B" options.
