Quality
Would you consider this product to be made well? How dependable?
looks very sturdy, just like my old JS8 that I dropped a couple of times and still played great!
Reliability
How has it stood up over time?
I just have had it for a week
Overall
Your general opinion of this product.
This new unit, you don't have to change anything when you go from just playing the unit alone, and when I put it thru my amp, just plug in the cable to you amp, and play! AND you can not only lower the speed, to praactice over hard parts, you can actually SPEED IT UP!! That's so you can play the track/part at one speed, then start increasing the speed and getting good at increasing your speed of playing! I still want the tempo listed of each track, so I know I'm playing at 80 or 100, etc. If tempo is in the unit, I haven't found it. That's a small quibble, as this thing just tears the JS8 apart! PLUS those of you that have also had the previous unit, really there's almost nothing you have to "study", I took it out of the box and was playing it right then. But there are new changes, just read it after you play a session. I was going to buy the new eBand JS now matter what, it is much much better than I thought it'd be! Just add tempo next time, guys, OK?!
Tone
Bright and snappy? Dark and smooth? Were the pickups hot, mellow, thick, thin?
the tones and sounds of the tracks and effects are almost (or is) stereo quality, and the bass and drumming are huge!
Action
How was the action out of the box?
I plugged it in and was playing and soloing along with the tracks, and a bunch of them are new. Of course they still kept some of my favorite tracks. If you get tired of them after a while, you can always replace/add to them. I've already put in 7 tracks just a while ago, they're tracks I'm concentrating on right now, and again, you can add to, erase, and put your own tracks of whomever you want, to learn over! You have the center channel that you can remove-3 of my tracks that I just put into the unit had the guitar low in the mix, so I took the center out, and there was the guitar high in the mix!!
