Product Review I bought this guitar so I could incorporate some acoustic songs into my act. Great effects onboard and they are easy to dial in. Reverb sounds great. No complaints! This amp also takes pedals like a champ. Would recommend for the price and value. Buy the foot switch as well it comes in handy for dynamics of your songs.

Product Review In the world of Amps, the Katana series from Boss is phenomenal! From my solid body classical to my L.P. I've got tones I didn't think were possible. As a former touring musician I like a solid reliable rig. Now as a studio musician this nails it! Easy connection to a MAC or PC with the port on the back and a smooth effects loop. Seriously, it's everything I've wanted and need.

Product Review This amplifier is absolutely the most versatile amp I've ever seen. Pair it with the Tone Central library and add any tone you can imagine. Literally. You can get the tone of any specific artist, any specific song, any boutique amp that's made, even some that aren't made anymore. The effects built in are impeccable. All Boss or Roland. The footswitch is a must for a working band situation. The whole package is extremely well built. The quality and thought put into the Katana has exceeded my expectations.

Product Review If you're looking for an amp that will keep up with a band but be versatile enough for your own projects, this thing is great. I bought it because it is light weight and was perfect for a gig I was playing outdoors. It's just a solid, solid piece of equipment. The Tone Studio is easy to use, and it's simple and fun to set up!

Product Review I would have given five stars if you didn't need to use the Tone Studio software to micro adjust the effects such as reverb, echo and other effects. So I'm finding the need to add a portable laptop for Tone Studio to use on stage. But outside of that, OUTSTANDING

Product Review I am sooo glad I bought this Boss Katana KTN100 amp! I’ve only been playing guitar for 54 years, so far, and have owned and operated my recording studio business for 39 years, as not only a guitar player, but a composer/musician (who plays at least 16 instruments)/songwriter/recording engineer/producer of countless advertising jingles and records, etc. I listen to, and study music of all kinds, from all around the world, and write, perform, record and produce a very broad range of styles and genres of music, featuring nylon string classical, and steel string acoustic, and a wide range of electric guitars and sounds, from clean to gritty, vintage to new, fingerpicking acoustic, to avant-garde to traditional jazz, to rock to punk to reggae to juju to Latin to zook, and all points and blends in between, and beyond. I can say that I have put this amp through its paces, and it authentically and easily handles anything I can throw at it, better than any other amp I have ever worked with!

Product Review Had this amp about a month. First thing I want to say is this amp is extremely loud. If your looking for and amp to gig with this is it. The five channels are great and are easy to taylor the channel for your own sound preference. The amp has a bright sound, more treble sound because it is a open back cab. It's easy to adjust to get a Marshall or orange tube amp sounds. The good part you can get the sounds you need with out getting a second mortgage on your house. Haven't tried any of the downloadable software yet. I prefer to get use to the amp first. This amp does it all. Just buy this Beast, you won't be sorry.

Product Review This is by far one of the most versatile and best sounding solid state guitar amplifier that I've owned. It sounds as warm as a tube amp and reacts like one. It is well worth the money. I played my acoustic, jazz, nylon string and solid body electric guitars and all sounded great. I highly recommend this amp as your main gig amp and back up amp.

Product Review It meets the hype of the good reviews which is a pretty high bar. I was sold on it after watching a Boss tutorial in the support section. The layout of the control panel is so much more logical than others. You may want to make a cheat sheet on the settings until the colors of the LEDs and the associated features are in your memory.Still a learning curve but a logical one.

Product Review My hands may be new to playing the guitar but my ears knows awesome sound. It’s very easy to dial in the tone in your head with this amp, and did I mention this 100 watt amp is LOUD. It is great for practicing at lower volumes with the power control dial. Nice kick stand to aim the up off the floor built in and the construction oozes quality. Beginners like me and pros will love this amp because it can do it, what ever you’re into jazz ,blues, rock, metal this amp has you covered out of the box and there is another world of tones and effects in the tone studio when you connect the amp to a computer. Awesome amp the eas of use and great sound keeps me and drives me to practice. I really enjoy the Katana 100 the hype is real.

Product Review Tone, a very subjective thing. Even when comparing tube based amps Everyone's opinion of the amps tones are different. This Boss Katana 100 watt amp has a very diverse arrangement of sounds. Its easy to use. The included foot switch is easy to program so you know right where to go when switching from rhythm to lead tones. I play mostly rock from the 60's through late 80's. As with any amp, you spend a little time tweeking it and VOILA, magic can happen. I am very pleased how this Katana amp performs. I researched many different brands before deciding on this one.

Product Review I have had the Katana 100 combo amp for 8 months I can confidently tell you, this amp can do anything. I play with the band during the week I play from my church on the weekends. For the weekends, I plug my acoustic guitar amp into it and it sounds absolutely perfect. It’s definitely loud enough and I can add so many different combinations to give it a wonderful clean sale on the acoustic I cacophony tell you, this amp can do anything. Play with the band during the week I play from my church on the weekends. For the weekends, plug my acoustic guitar amp into it and it sounds absolutely perfect. It’s definitely loud enough and I can add so many different combinations to give it a wonderful clean sale on the acoustic sunny setting. During the week, I crank the amp to 100 Watts, and it cuts through the mix over the bass and drums. This amp is a true camelion. It is easy to program and has a great sound. You can using right any professional setting. Way to go Katana!

Product Review It is just awesome. It is very quiet on clean, and I have barely tweaked the factory presets. The brown and other gain channels are excellent, and I get some great harmonics with them. I have had this amp and the footswitch since early May, and I get so involved in playing plugged into it, that I still haven't gotten the footswitch out of the box yet. For the price, there is no other way to go. I play through a Marshall JTM30 tube amp, and when I got this amp, I don't think I turned the Marshall on for a month. With the "panel" setting, you essentially have five patches at a time. I can't wait to get into the tonelab app and explore more. I could go on and on about how great it is, but you get the picture. By the way, if you get the footswitch, remember that it works several different models. Your Boss amp will come with a sticker to overlay on the footswitch that is particular to your amp. Otherwise, the footswitch will not make sense to you.

Product Review I think this amplifier is worth the money and it is very usable live. I am almost 60 and have been playing guitar over 60 years. I have had most popular tube amps since the 60s (Fender Marshall Supro) and still have most of them. I play a strat or something loaded with P90s for a little more ooomph. I purchased this amplifier from AMS along with the GAFC. I have the latest firmware loaded into the amp. I spent a week of evenings tweaking it with the software and did a factory reset.....that is good enough for me. The GAFC is not needed for how I play. Lead setting, gain 11 o'clock (oc), volume full, bass 3oc, mid 12oc, treble 11oc, add reverb to taste, presence 9oc, adjust master for level. Use volume knob on guitar to roll of gain and adjust picking heaviness to clean it up. It is a usable gig-able amp. Side by side with a tube amp? No. Who cares? It sounds great. Keeper? I don't know. I have GT1 direct.

Product Review This is a beast. You aren't going to realize what this amp can do if you don't connect it to the free software, but its really quite easy. You get very tube like response from this thing and all the variable drives/effects you have access to are great. Oh, and volume for days. This definitely packs a punch. Unless you just refuse to use the software, there isn't a better amp for the money. Even just throwing some of your own pedals in front of the clean channel on this is enough to beat most amps in the price range.

Product Review Well I had the 50 watt, and liked it, but had some problems. I have always been a tube guy, but I read a lot of reviews and figured I'd try the 100 watt. So far it really is the best solid state amp I've heard. I wish it came with a footswitch, but I really don't have any negative comments yet. I love the fact it's so light and the kick stand is a great idea.

Product Review I've always believed in first impressions and I've oftenn been surprised when my first negative impression of something became quickly overshadowed by a cascade of positive impressions. I've read all the reviews for this thing and watched every video online before pulling the trigger on the purchase. It arrived yesterday and I have to say that underwhelmed has a new benchmark. I found all of the default settings harsh and shrill all except for the acoustic channel which was exceptional when I used a Taylor GS-Mini with just a touch of delay. Absolutely stunning. The regular clean channel was lackluster. The other channels sounded about as bad as a solid state amp can sound except the Brown channel with some delay and compression. I haven't owned an SS amp since 1981. I had assumed that perhaps the technology had improved in the last three decades. I used a new 335, a 78 LP with PAF's, a Strat with Texas Specials and a guitar I built at luthier school with some P90's. No joy.....

Use the Clean channel with the pedals.I have trusted the Boss and Roland products for 30 years and more on stage for my sounds. This amp seems to fit into the same trust mold.Stay tuned

Product Review This is everything in one amp that I wanted. First of all the clean sound is beautiful with plate, spring, and hall Reverb. The Crunch is fat and responsive, the lead CH can cover a wide range of crunch and high gain. Then there's the BROWN channel that sounds amazing, great for lead, rhythm or anything you want. Effects are very good, no one does effects better than Boss. On top of it all there's the Acoustic guitar channel, for my acoustic guitar that sounds amazing. This amp cuts through the mix of the band with power to spare. There's power control from 0.5W, 50W, and 100W. I'm so happy with this amp, and as always thank you AMS.
