This loop pedal took me 5 minutes to figure out.
Works great with my bass, acoustic and electric guitars. It works extremely well with my keyboard as well. It does multiple loops as well. You must count in time to get it to synchronize. Lots of fun for practicing or songwriting.

Boss is the greatest looper on the market in my opinion. This unit out of the box has you practicing all by yourself. Its so easy to use and the directions are great. Youtube is loaded with information for those that don't want to read.

Great product and simple to use. One note that may be useful to some, and in my opinion should be included in the instuction manual....
The stereo signal is only split when both inputs are plugged in, so if for example you want to record a bass part and then record some chords on the other input, plug both instruments in before you start otherwise the first part that was recorded with only 1 input plugged in will play out to both outputs. In hindsight this is because the pedal also works as a signal splitter allowing 1 input to play out to 2 different amps which is also really useful, but this info was not readily available in most of the reviews I read/watched. Now I have figured this out I love this pedal!

I am new to looping at home and live and this is a great pedal to use I’ve found as a new learner to looping. Im taking some looping classes and finding out this is a must have tool. Jamming for friends has become so much different with adding layers and filling spaces I didn’t really know existed until now. So much fun in s mitre red metal box!!!

The pedal has been great for laying a track to ad-lib lead licks to. The single stomp controls take a minute to figure out but fairly easy. You can buy an external cancel/stop pedal which would make things even better if using in a live setting.

I picked this up to help improve my soloing and to provide a backing track. As a guitarist I cant recommend this tool highly enough. It's like having a band in my bag. Lay down some rhythm, add you bass line, a little slap percussion, and let the jam begin. Simple and dependable. It's a Boss and built to handle abuse.

The double tap to stop the loop really sucks. Also to erase the loop you have to hold the pedal down and 3 seconds of the previous loop plays while you erase it. Not professional on stage at all

The visual cues are what sold me on this looper. I wanted something simple and easy to use for acoustic and electric bass. Also has more internal storage than competitors. and is MicroSD external storage capable so you can save that 'killer' loop you did for another gig!

I got this because of its simplicity. And it really is simple. But, get a non-latching footswitch. Pretty much any switch should work. Having to step on it twice to stop reording is a pain. The non-latchng switch eliminates that. Other than that, it's a great looper.

Great Looper to layer in rhythms/solos. This is perfect for someone who wants to create patterns and background rhythms to play over on top.Simple to use and very well constructed. I personally like using the two outputs to connect to two different guitar amps. :)

I have historically been a bass player and my use of pedals has typically been pretty limited / simple. Since picking up the ol' 6 string, I have heard a few different looping pedals and found this one to be my favorite. I like that there is enough time to playback a full song and that I can easily layer loops on top of each other. This has been a very straight forward pedal to use and I have definitely enjoyed practicing solos and scales over my own rhythm parts.

Firstly I have to say I have never had a Looper before, I did a lot of research, and ended up buying the Boss, it seemed simple to use, pretty much idiot proof, and a good footprint. It is all those things and more .... put a 6 part piece together, right out of the box in the first 10 minutes .... worth it to see the look on my Girls' faces when they came upstairs to find I wasn't actually playing !! .... Bottom Line. ... BUY IT you won't be sorry !

I got this for chrsitmas and a few weeks later our piano player at church went out of town. I also play the piano, and I was able to before church play on the guitar the song we were about to play and loop it while I played the piano. My brother is now wanting one.

This is a pretty simple but nice loop station. Not a super fancy unit in terms of features but sometimes simpler is better. I just wanted something I could create a loop with then overdub a second part or simply just to use for practice. It works well for that. It's not difficult to use. It only took me a few minutes to get the hang of it. Record and playback quality is excellent and I have not noticed any noise issues at all. I'm not really into hashing out all the technical aspects so I won't go into that part of this pedal. All that information is already out there. It serves the purpose I bought it for. Easy enough to use pedal that won't break the bank.

Does what I need. Needed a looper for practicing, since I usually record the rythm guitar when I want to improvise, but now I don't have to go to the daw and start setting things up in order to record, I just press the pedal, record the rythm and then start improvising, if I come up with something worth recording, then I go through all the hassle. I'm not using all of the features, I don't even use the overdubbing, but tried it and its nice. Easy to setup, simple to use, just follow the instructions.

For anyone learning to play guitar, one of the greatest hurdles is having the confidence to play with someone else. This looper pedal helps develop the skills you'll need to be able to play with another musician and take the lead when it comes around to your turn.
The pedal is very easy to use and gives me all I need to setup a rhythm track to play lead or rhythm fills against. Once you set up your loop and you find it's not exactly what you wanted, two quick taps deletes the track and lets you start again. The best thing is, once you have the loop you want, it is always there until you delete it! The next time you sit down to play, your track is still there.

This was just what I was looking for in a basic looper. No fancy bells and whistles, just to understand functions and easy to use. The big Boss stomp platform is hard to miss on a dimly-lit stage during a live performance. I LOVE the rotary loop indicator, it's super simple to see the status and progress of your loop. It's the feature that sold me on this unit!

Boss makes great pedals. Period. The RC-1 Loop station is a great bare bones looper for using live, provided you use it with the Boss FS5U Foot switch. I like to loop it, erase it and go on to the next song. AMS had it in stock at the going price. They delivered it fast and I am one happy camper!
