The name Boss speaks for itself. Very well made. I have other Boss pedals and all are top notch. No worries.
Reliability
How has it stood up over time?
We shall see. I'm sure it will outlast me. Lol. I added a Roland expression pedal for even more control over my loops.

Definitely read the manual! So much fun to play with once you figure it out. It has taken my creativity and my music into brand new exciting places! Loving it. A bit pricey, but so well worth it.
Playability and Feel
How does it feel, Heavy, Fast, Chunky? How was the neck? Are the controls easy to get to while playing?
Ive had mine a little over a month and I am looping like crazy.
Tone
Bright and snappy? Dark and smooth? Were the pickups hot, mellow, thick, thin?
I can make my guitar sound like a bass! Fun effect that I am using quite a bit.
Finish
How did the stain or paint job look?
Sporty looking! Make room though,as it is rather large.

I have only had this one month, but I have a BOSS GT-3 that still kicks butt after 12+ years,

The BOSS RC300 is one of the best tools I have ever owned. It was not as hard as I thought it would be to get it up and running. Every time I use it I learn more about the unit and develop skills musically. I have made recordings and loops of a quality that I would never have thought that I would be able to do just sitting in my house or live.

Much improved over the RC-50. Probably the best looper out there but pricey.

I used to own (and sold six months later) an RC-50. The loop playback delay and pedal arrangement was irritating to me. I was surprised with the RC-300 enhanced usability with the new pedal arrangement as well as the recording quality. Although the same bit rate as the previous model, the way the loop playback isn't delayed like the old model is a big relief. The pedal arrangement with a pair for each track is also welcome and much more natural.

The new pedal arrangement is different than the RC-50 and that's a good thing in that, out of the box, you're not having to do multiple pedal taps to perform a single function. The rec/dub/play pedal sequence is configurable. Add a some external pedals and/or a midi controller if you have multiple special functions. The addition of an expression pedal is more useful than I thought and using MIDI I can use any of it to send control messages back to any of my other units. For me, I now have some extra control and expression options with my GT-10.
