Quality Would you consider this product to be made well? How dependable? Steel construction. Rugged enough for gigging. Reliability How has it stood up over time? Overall Your general opinion of this product. I've never used the original Roland RE-201 that the Boss RE-20 is based on, but for what this pedal does, it's great. I'm glad I bought it. Playability and Feel How does it feel, Heavy, Fast, Chunky? How was the neck? Are the controls easy to get to while playing? This is a very interactive pedal. I would almost like to have the controls seperate from the footswitches so that I can twist knobs on the fly. That's okay, though, because the warp/twist footswitch dimes the rate and intensity controls when held down, plus an optional expression pedal can be set to control various paramaters as well. Tone Bright and snappy? Dark and smooth? Were the pickups hot, mellow, thick, thin? Put a tube in the mix and it'll warm things up, but the pedal sounds great regardless. The reverb is unique and not for everybody, but it sounds fine in moderation. Would love to have true bypass on this thing. Not sure how hard that is to do, but it seems like a pretty basic thing to ask for a pedal to NOT color your sound in bypass mode. Finish How did the stain or paint job look? Green and black. I like it. Action How was the action out of the box?
Just like the good ol' days

Quality Would you consider this product to be made well? How dependable? Top quality here, built to be used professionally. Reliability How has it stood up over time? This thing is built like a tank, very solid, nothing has broken. Overall Your general opinion of this product. I bought this unit hoping it could recreate the sound of my old tape delay that bit the dust years ago. Playability and Feel How does it feel, Heavy, Fast, Chunky? How was the neck? Are the controls easy to get to while playing? I have this set for a slap-back rockabilly sound which it does really well. Tone Bright and snappy? Dark and smooth? Were the pickups hot, mellow, thick, thin? Finally I have a delay that gets the sound I want without loss of tone. Finish How did the stain or paint job look? It looks somewhat like the old Roland box from long ago. Action How was the action out of the box?
