Before purchasing the Crossover ff, I did a ton of homework. I saw a lot of bad reviews,mainly by people that have never touched one. So, I'm going to run it down...
Build quality:
Yes, it's made in China. However, if hadn't known that up front, I never would have known. The build quality is excellent. And no, there is absolutely 0 over spray in the finish. The binding is very well done. My only issue is the tuners were a bit too tight. A drop of oil and that was solved,
Sound Quality
Simply amazing. Be prepared to play a bit softer than normal. This thing produces tons of sound. And that sound is full and lends itself to several styles of play.
Playability
Very easy action, maybe too easy. My kids suddenly started thinking I had taken a magic drug made me better. Seriously, this Lil gem is a blast to play. Very versatile.
If you want a great mando at a great price that is far better than anything in its price range, this is it.
Is it a $5000 Gibson? No.
Is a an extremely fun, high quality and easily played for the common man? You better believe it!

This instrument plays as good as it looks. I haven't had a mandolin for about 15 years, and decided time for another one. I made the right choice with this one.....
