Inexpensive quality home recording with the guitarist in mind
Abbacus from Longview,WA,USA
Quality
Would you consider this product to be made well? How dependable?
Very well thought out software. Does what it's supposed to and if you have a decent PC (dual core and lots of memory) you'll have no crash issues. Also, there's a update download available at the makers website to use this with Windows 7. I haven't tried it...still using XP.
Features
What do you consider to be the best features of this product? What features would you add to this product if you could?
Really designed with the guitar player in mind. The only thing I would add to this product is some loop packs and a good audio input interface (The Mackie Onyx Blackjack 2x2 USB Recording Audio Interface would be perfect) and/or one with Midi in/out for keyboards and control of soft synths. A good mike or two and a pair of powered monitors would be nice as well.
Ease of Use
How easy is this product to use? How easy is the product to use with other products? Did it take long for you to learn to use this product? Was the manual helpful? How playable do you consider this product to be?
Very easy to use and work with compared to full-on studio software. My only issue was after installing the included Guitar Rig 3 software (great amp/cab/effects) the software's "updater" went waco till I figured out how to "update the updater."
Value
Was this item an overall good value?
Probably the best buy out there for home recording software.
