This is packed with synths and effects. While not all of them are my favorites by any means. Session Drummer 3 is not the greatest, you'll want something else. But Rapture and Dimension are worth the price of admission alone. Not to mention you get a very capable recording package. Audio quality is very good. Tons of flexibility, and options.

It does take some getting used to. I came over from Pro Tools and the switch was relatively painless. But like any software there is a learning curve.
Value
Was this item an overall good value?
Overall with all the synths and effects that come with the recording software. And given that the audio quality is pro level, especially in it's true 64 bit end to end audio engine. Given all that it's probably the best value in any recording software out there.

So far I've had almost no issues at all. Occasionally I'll get drop-outs while working with a lot at once, but it's never happened while recording, and never caused any significant issue.

What do you consider to be the best features of this product? What features would you add to this product if you could?
I've used a number of other DAW software in the past, and none had the shear volume of features and effects that SONAR does. I really can't see needing anything else for quite a while.

Being as robust as it is, there's a little bit of a learning curve, but the included guide is a great place to start. Once you've gotten that under your belt, the FULL manual is on the first disc in pdf form, and is over 1500 pages. Overall, it's well laid out, and after an evening of playing around with it I found it very easy to use.

It's the best value in audio software I've ever purchased. As I've said under 'Features', it has everything most people will ever need.
