General What is your overall opinion of this product? Overall it's wonderful, however, although the keyboard is weighted, it is still a bit looser than an acoustic piano. The sound is great and the touch sensitive sensors allow for smooth dynamics
very nice piano at a good price.

What is your overall opinion of this product? I am so pleased with this piano. I got it for my granddaughter for her beginning lessons. I considered a full size piano, but they are so heavy and bulky, I decided on this one, and we are so glad I did. It has everything we could want in a beautiful, sleek package. Quality What is your opinion of the quality of this product? How does it work for different genres of music? The quality is great and it looks awesome in my living room and fits very well. Ease of Use How user friendly is it? Would it work well for a beginner, intermediate or experienced player? It was very easy to assemble and very easy to use. My granddaughter, as a beginner loves to practice on it. The tone is wonderful and volume controls make it nice. Features Are the features on the product what you were expecting? What are your favorite features? It has more featured than I expected. The metronome is great for practice and the memory card slot makes it easy for her to record what she plays and take it to her class for teacher evaluation. Sound How is the sound quality? How does the sound compare to other products you've use? The tone is very nice and a pleasure to listen to. Feel How is the feel of the keys? Are the controls laid out well? The keys are easy to use and very responsive. Everything is laid out well and once you know where the controls are, it is nice that the writing isn't visible. Value Did you get what you were expecting for the price? How does it compare to similar products in the same price range? Overall, I got a wonderful deal at thousands less than a conventional piano without all the problems of the size and weight. I would recommend it to anyone.
Good looking, well-made piano.

Quality Would you consider this product to be made well? How dependable? The piano is very well made. Assembly was easy, yet all joints are perfectly rigid. I see no weaknesses. One reason I chose to buy from American Musical Supply was the availability of the black finish rather than the more common brown. An important (to me)feature of the 420 is that it has front legs. It doesn't NEED front legs, and very few electronic pianos have them, but they give the instrument a more classic look. A slight drawback is that the markings above the keys that identify their functions when using any of the software functions (instrument selection, transposition, playback, etc.) are printed in very faint letters making them hard to see. This is good in that the piano looks more like a real piano without bright white lettering above the keys, but bad in that you can't read them without a particularly good light. Features What do you consider to be the best features of this product? What features would you add to this product if you could? Personally, I'd like to increase the knee room (that is, the distance from the floor to the underside of the keyboard). But I have that problem with most pianos. With a stage piano, I can just raise the stand as high as I like. But it's all right, I'm used to it. Ease of Use How easy is this product to use? How easy is the product to use with other products? Did it take long for you to learn to use this product? Was the manual helpful? How playable do you consider this product to be? Very easy to use. The manual was very helpful and I'm please to have a book of music containing all the songs pre-programmed into the instrument. Sound How is the tone? The bass notes tend to "boom" a little, but you get used to that. Overall, the range of tones one can produce with varying touches is very satisfying. Value Was this item an overall good value? Definitely. I read online reviews of many pianos and went to see the ones available in local stores, and I'm convinced I made the right choice.
