I am a Pink Floyd junkie! So with that being said, this pedal will give you the type of sounds that you need to get the echoes and time guitar solo sounds. It has tons of different modes and within each you get four ways to tune that mode in! It can be somewhat confusing at times, but in a pedal you would rather have enough to be confusing than be confused because there isn’t enough. This pedal delivers on its promise of being a close replica of the original. The one and only thing I would change is for each mode to lock into place rather than just turn. I can live with that with all you get with this pedal though!

I waited a few months before submitting this review. Im very pleased with this pedal overall. Tone, size, ease of use are all great. The only thing I would change is making the knob lettering larger and a way of "feeling" the Program Select knob change when dialing through the settings. I Never thought I'd see a digital remake of the Binson Echorec.

As the title implies this pedal faithfully recreates the echorec delay that Gilmour uses. It is a great pedal and has warmth. I would recommend this pedal to anyone!

After comparing the pedal with the Boonar, the Boonar beat it easily, a bit more pricey but well worth the extra money spent.

It is hard to explain how vast this pedal is , it has taken me a long time to really start to understand all the possibilities and sounds you get with this little device
so many different patterns ,using it as a normal delay in program 1 , also that crazy modulation but most of all what a great preamp this pedal is in a league of it's own , love it!

This pedal exceeded my expectations. Like the original Echorec, it can be used for a basic slapback or echo pedal - and a whole lot more.
You can get psychedelic sounds like early Pink Floyd (who used the Echorec extensively), as well as patterned echoes like U2 (think "Bad" and "Pride").
There isn't space here to describe the Echorec, but the user's manual is available on the Catalinbread website. It explains the original device and how this pedal models it. I suggest reading the manual before purchasing.
Then, you will have GAS.
Then, you will eventually get one - and you will be very glad you did.
