Creambacks are my go to speaker, lots of power handling and amazing clarity with excellent lows and mids, great for anything from clean, rock, metal, doom. I like v30s and greenbacks but there’s just something about the fullness to the sound of a creamback that I end up swapping them into everything.

Replaced the stock 70/80 speaker of a Marshall DSL20CR with this G12H-75. Also put in a different set of valves.
V1: ECC832
V2: 5751
V3: ECC803s
KT77 matched pair for power
There's more clean gain on the green channel and the full range of gain on the red channel is now usable.
70/80 has a resonance frequency of 85Hz. G12H-75 is 75Hz, more suitable for my drop-D tuning (low D being 72Hz). Tighter. Tone is more open/brighter yet less fizzy. Better articulation/definition.
G12H-75 is also much heavier than the 70/80.

While v30s are versatile, they cant keep up with the G12h. The cleans out of my F50 have improved tenfold and I couldn't be happier. Great upgrade over v30s or Black Shadows. I'd even suggest a mix of those 3. V30 and G12H sound like a great combo. These things also look great in combos and open back cabs because of the creambac!

I purchased a 16 Ohm because it seems to be a little bit brighter. I love that you can get a real nice crunch that does not get muddy. I use an overdrive pedal with a noise gate most of the time to get a super crunch sound and this speaker is perfect for that.

These were stiff as a board for about an hour cranked up after 20 minutes. Started to move and sound better in time. Sounds pleasing but still not to full potential whatever that will be. Give time before judging a solid built speaker. Every player is looking for a different sound. You just have to try out speakers. I rate 4 because one had bent flange that I had to straighten. Dropped at factory, but no harm fixing in the right hands. Quality control is going away guys.

I just had to replace the stock speakers in my EVH 2x12 because they were really taxing on my ears with 2 of these bad boys. The depth and range of snarl & grit from these Creambacks are very smooth when cranked unlike the Anniversary ones, which don’t suit my fancy. These speakers work great with my EVH El34 & 6L6 heads, Randall Diavlo, Blackstar Venue 100 & Metal 100. I can’t think of another set of Celestion speakers that give me joy in cranking. Typically they’re stiff but after a good while playing them damn they roar & purr with goodness it’s euphoric. While my tastes are mostly in metal, the rock & twangy feel sound so articulate thru these. If I ever get an EVH 412 I’ll definitely swap them speakers out with these babies for that extra roar.

I recently bought the Fender Hot Rod Deluxe 1 x 12 speaker cab and a Marshall Origin 20H, 20 watt amplifier head from AMS, my # 1 source of for musical products across the board. The set up was a perfect match. I read the reviews for the Celestion G12H75 Creamback speaker and felt for a modest expenditure I could take the sound up a notch or two by replacing the stock Celestion speaker.. I was taken aback! The Creamback speaker made the Origin amp come alive! Now I have a winning combination of superb sound and functionality and I couldn't be more satisfied with the choices I made! Thank you AMS!

I replaced the cheap factory stock speaker in my Fender Champion 40 with a Celestion G12H75 and it gave new birth to the inexpensive Champion. It stood up very well in a full band environment with much bigger amps. It turned the Champion 40 into something that I can join the big boys with. With plenty of headroom, I can crank it up and it sounds great with no break up.

I have used greenbacks for 40 years. Tried and was unimpressed by V30’s but was interested in a speaker with higher wattage rating. Decided on creamback 75 over the 65 due to a little more punch in bottom and top. This speaker is exactly as described. Open yet defined for clean tones and punchy articulate lead tones without brittleness or harshness. Great with single coils or humbuckers

This is a great speaker with surprising bottom end,balanced way better than I expected a greenback variant to be.
Tighter punchier bottom and less fizzy than my English V30's. Really works good for everything.
(although fizzy can be good for some amps)

Bought it to replace the original Marshall DLS 40C speaker.
Extremely well made and still produced in the UK.
Never played a speaker.
Mellowed out the harshness on the Marshall, and added bass and middle madness.
Heavy.
Beautiful finish but I never get to see it.
It will only get better.
