Reliability How has it stood up over time? Ic an't imagine it not, but so far it's great! Overall Your general opinion of this product. Perfectly balanced in the DSL40C, makes playing the amp a dream! I have a hard time putting the guitar down once I start playing! Quality Would you consider this product to be made well? How dependable? Very well made. Playability and Feel How does it feel, Heavy, Fast, Chunky? How was the neck? Are the controls easy to get to while playing? No feel, just tone..... Tone Bright and snappy? Dark and smooth? Were the pickups hot, mellow, thick, thin? Just the right amount of clarity on the top end with a little chime, perfectly balanced mids, and a nice full but crisp bottom end. Love it! Action How was the action out of the box? No action, it's a speaker Finish How did the stain or paint job look? Falwless

How did the stain or paint job look? Paint's real nice. The cream colored magnet covers are über cool! But the real piece de resistance is that Celestion brilliantly put 8 mounting holes in the basket instead of the 4 we're all used to. These speakers will now go in dang near anything, even a vintage Bassman cab, without any modification. Nice! Action How was the action out of the box? Quite nice but I did did cheat and hooked them up to my home stereo and ran about 30-40 hrs of classic rock station and radio static through them at low to moderate volumes just to work in the surrounds a bit. Quality Would you consider this product to be made well? How dependable? Looks really well constructed. I'm glad they decided to build this one in the UK. Paint is well applied to the basket. Cone looks precisely applied to the basket. Cone looks very similar to the Orig. cones from the 70's. Reliability How has it stood up over time? Still in the honeymoon phase w/ this speaker it's only a month old But I'm definitely expecting a lot of miles out of the pair I bought. Overall Your general opinion of this product. Very positive presently. Playability and Feel How does it feel, Heavy, Fast, Chunky? How was the neck? Are the controls easy to get to while playing? Well, it is a speaker after all...not a guitar/amp. I purchased these exclusively because of their higher wattage rating as I am using them in a 212 set up as opposed to a 412. I like the peace of mind. Nobody wants to blow an original greenback or even a nice re-cone. Tone Bright and snappy? Dark and smooth? Were the pickups hot, mellow, thick, thin? I put the pair I bought in an original mid 60's BF Bassman 212 closed back cab. The amp is a '65 Traynor BassMaster YBA head I hand tweaked more or less to JTM 50 specs. Non-master vol, jumpered inputs, tube rectified, EL34's, NOS 12ax7's in the pre amp. This set up kills. I owned a mid 70's Marshall straight cab for some years and this more or less nails what that cab sounded like. Bottom line; for about a quarter of the cost of an original Marshall head & cab rig I'm neck deep in vintage 60's/70's Marshall tone which is just what I set out for in the first place.
The new/old sound of great speakers!

Quality Would you consider this product to be made well? How dependable? Celestion makes the best guitar amp speakers and I have never had a Celestion speaker failure. Reliability How has it stood up over time? They are fairly new but sounded incredible as soon as I put them in my cabs. Overall Your general opinion of this product. These speakers were tested against G12H-30's (55), Vintage 30's, and Heritage 65's. It had the best qualities of them all. They have a clear sound with a full bottom, pleasing mids, and a sweet musical top end, without piercing as in the Vintage 30's - and handle 65 watts each! For playing all types of rock and hard rock - they are the Best speaker for me!
Best speaker ever!

Quality Would you consider this product to be made well? How dependable? just got it Reliability How has it stood up over time? this is the best sounding speaker i have ever heard. i own vintage 30's, g12t-75, anniversary series, and this one blows them away. Lots of bass with the greenback sound. if you turn the mids up they get that sweet bluesy sound , if you turn the mids down you get a Hi-Fi metal sound. These speakers make your amp sound inceadible. Overall Your general opinion of this product. I had been searching for the perfect tone and these speakers gave it to me Playability and Feel How does it feel, Heavy, Fast, Chunky? How was the neck? Are the controls easy to get to while playing? heavy speaker man, probably where the bass comes from Tone Bright and snappy? Dark and smooth? Were the pickups hot, mellow, thick, thin? low mids like the g12t-75 but high mids like the anniversary series. mids are not harsh no matter how you turn them up. gives you that 3d sound very even and warm Finish How did the stain or paint job look? looked cool
